If you buy Premium Bonds online can you still get prizes in the post and does anyone know how easy is it to buy bonds via another NS&I account (Income Bonds etc.) ?0

You can no longer get prizes by post (new customers have had that facility removed). If you are an existing holder, almost every time you log in you will be nagged about it, with an option "Yes: Do it electronically and get prizes faster", or "No: I want to wait for my money because I'm stupid and like to waste paper". You will eventually give in

Hard to understand why anyone would want to get sent cheques in the post...mikb said:You can no longer get prizes by post (new customers have had that facility removed). Just brought a load after closing my Beehive Money account which has dropped to 0.05%. Very easy to buy if you already have and NS&I account number - just buy them with your debit card.gt94sss2 said:If you buy Premium Bonds online can you still get prizes in the post and does anyone know how easy is it to buy bonds via another NS&I account (Income Bonds etc.) ?Edible geranium1 -

I can tell that you've never won the one million. ...
What is remarkable this month is that one of the £1m prizes was won by a bond only purchased two months ago - so in its first draw.0 -
Well by my calculations DH's £20 holding over the last 40 years will have had 9600 individual bond entries.
So that's like holding £9600 for one month
or £4800 for 2 months
or £3200 for 3 months
or £800 for a year!!!
So it's pretty clear why he's never won anything!! Although I'm sure there will be winners of at least a £25 prize that have only held £800 for a year. He's not giving up hope just yet!!
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
I have £14,000 invested. I have only won £25 this year. Hoping I will have another win tomorrow. Good luck everyone!0

It's my 11th month of full holding so will be interesting to see what the next two draws hold for me. Currently at £550, I've only had £25 prizes so would be nice for a slightly larger one at some point....Make £2023 in 2023 (#36) £3479.30/£2023
Make £2024 in 2024...0
