    2 x £25 this month on £18,000 - I invested £8,000 two months ago. I often find I have a win when I invest or withdraw.

5 x £25 on a holding of £25k this month. Strangely high; This is the first month that I have won more than a single £25 for nearly one year.

My rate of return over the last 12 months is exactly 1.5%.

    3 x £25 wins on £50k.

I ditto this as well. Out of interest, what sort of "PB" do people have for consecutive winning months? No doubt my run ends after posting this but I'm in uncharted territory now with 16 consecutive winning months, having last month surpassed the previous 14 month record.

A single measly £25 on £23,300. Hoped for at least 2 wins for August as nothing at all last month.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

is it me but I cannot see the point of buying premium bonds as I get a far better rate of return with a Marcus account.

    Depends on your tax situation.

    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

Looking at the winnings mentioned here I doubt very much if having £30k-50K in PB's and only wining £100 is very tax efficient if you factor in inflation.

I will still make more in a Marcus account and I get that return every month.

Precisely. A higher rate tax-payer only needs a return of 0.9% on PBs to match what Marcus could offer.
