Feb 4 x£25, Mar 4 x£25, Apr 4 x£25, fingers crossed for May but that may well be it. As you've pointed out the return isn't great but the monthly have I 'won' anything is more interesting than cash sitting in equally low interest account, perhaps time to switch some to a S&S ISA.
But this is of course the nature of PBs, some will win more than the average and others will win less than the average - for some this is their appeal whereas for others it's their drawback. Each to their own....0 -

As ever, it's that word 'average' that leads to so much debate on this topic!
Average luck would deliver £150 of prizes for £50K over three months (a 1.2% annualised return based on median average rather than the 1.4% mean average return) but it's an 86.5% chance of winning at least £100, so CatLady13 fits within the unluckiest 13.5% and therefore does indeed have a poor return relative to most holders of £50K worth of PBs....
I feel sad that I am in the unluckiest 13.5%!
I am not planning on keeping PBS forever, I just wanted to have a go for a little while and try my luck (or very little luck as the case may be). Transferring it all into Income Bonds would give me more money each month than I have been winning but also no chance of a big win (however small the odds). At least I have won something each month, that is better than nothing!0 -

I'm currently witnessing and experiencing declining market values. PB's can be used as part of a broader portfolio to provide diversification.0 -

I invested for the first time in premium bonds on 4 January 2017 (£1000) and have had my first win (£25) in the April draw. I'm not sure if this is above or below average luck, or roughly what would be expected. Can anyone advise? TIA0

You'd expect a £25 win every two years!0 -
