So now that my grandson already has some bonds, we can buy him £50 worth now and then - is that correct?
Unfortunately it appears not, from reading those Ts & Cs a bit more carefully :(
    42. Where the purchase is made by electronic transfer or under the Regular Purchase Scheme (see paragraphs 28 and 38) the minimum is £50 (fifty £1 units).

    65. Bonds may be purchased on behalf of and in the name!of a child under 16 years of age, by their parent, grandparent, great grandparent, or guardian (see paragraph 21). However, Bonds cannot be purchased for children by electronic transfer and (great) grandparents cannot purchase via the internet or by telephone.

    70. As indicated in paragraph 38, the Regular Purchase Scheme is not available for purchases on behalf of children under 16 years.

  • Great news that PB's have gone up to 1.40 % from the dismal 1.15% it has been recently.

Hopefully we can all have some big wins come Jan 3rd....

  • Bought my first PBs a few months ago and won £25 off 3k in December. Thinking of converting a bit more of my Santander 123 money into PBs

Just so you're aware (if you aren't already) Santander have a 123 Lite so you can get the cashback but no interest for £1 per month.

If you do decide to buy more PB's, buy at the end of a month to minimise the amount of time that the money is doing nothing.
  • I just found an old PB certificate id forgotten about. It's in my maiden name so I'd like to update my details. Is it hard to do?
