I just found an old PB certificate id forgotten about. It's in my maiden name so I'd like to update my details. Is it hard to do?

Looks as though you can just send in this form: https://www.nsandi.com/files/published_files/asset/pdf/premium-bonds-change-of-details-form.pdf
  • I bought £6000 of bonds last year. 20 draws later I haven’t won a thing. Anybody else this unlucky?

The chance of not winning anything for 20 draws with £6,000 of bonds is 7/1000 so there are probably quite a few people as 'unlucky' as you. Good luck in future draws!

You might like to have a play around with this MSE Premium Bonds tool: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/premium-bonds-calculator/

There isn't an option for 20 draws exactly but you can get results for 18 months and 2 years. Winning nothing with £6,000 in 18 months puts you in the unluckiest 1.22% and if it continues for another 4 draws, it goes to the unluckiest 0.28%.

Why when I have already worked it out in the previous post? By the way, 7/1000 is 0.7%. I assume that the calculator is for the mathematically illiterate or those that do not have a calculator.
PS: There are 24 months in 2 years not 22 months!

The OP has already got to 20 months with nothing, so they have another 4 draws to go before they get to the 2 year mark. This was what I meant, apologies if it wasn't clear.

The poster may like to see for themselves where the figures come from. The 'What will I win?' part generates some links that may be of interest, in particular a full list of the odds and a comparison to savings.

    Holding £50,000

Just wanted to share my good news.

I have not checked my winnings for a year or so, due to computer problems, but logged into my online bank account and saw that on

    Dec 8th 2017
    I won £1075 on 4 bonds :j

I will be asking for a full statement of winnings when I get around to it since I invested the £50,000 which was about 2 - 3 years ago.

I expect the £1000 will have just helped me to get into an average or slightly above average level of winnings overall for the year or 3 years, I will let you guys know when I know.

EDIT: I just went back 12 months in online statements back to January, and whilst I did not add them up except in my head, I estimate that I have won including the December win approx £1500 for the year. Which I make to be 3%

    Congrats!
I've only made a third of that on 40K :(
Though guess I should be thankful I have that...
