Awesome!
NS&I says the current prize fund rate for Premium Bonds is 1.15 per cent - this will rise to 1.4 per cent on 1 December 2017.
Meanwhile, the odds of winning will be slashed from 30,000 to one, to 24,500 to one.0 -

Buy 'em just before the end of the month.0 -
Buy 'em just before the end of the month.
This.
Even better, buy just before the end of January. That way the money only has no chance of winning anything for 28 days rather than the 31 that it would be if you bought in November.
I find I'm having more luck with larger blocks rather than several smaller ones making up the same value, but statistically there isn't any difference in the odds of winning.

I agree with you here.
Over the years when ERNIE first started I invested in buying single or small numbers of bonds but never managed to win anything, so I decided to cash all of them in and buy in blocks. Since then I've been more lucky, but only with wins of £25 unfortunately! but we live in hope.Trying to learn something new every day.0 -
With the increase in rates I'm gonna sack my Santander 123 account off and transfer it all to Premium Bonds. Hope it pays off!0
