Bond tickets get randomly selected out of a hat sort of thing they old tickets and new tickets have the same chance of getting selected.
It may look like more new tickets are getting drawn out of the hat, but that is likely to happen as they didn't very long increase the maximum that you can invest into the premium bonds, which is £30,000. This has increase the amount of tickets that has been bought over a sort period of time and not all that long ago.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Just bought £1,000 worth of premium bonds this afternoon. First time ever, but feel I deserve a bit of fun after the hard slog of saving and investing over the last few years.
I haven't had time to read this whole thread. Can anyone advise what I might expect to win over the next year?0 -

1.125%, so a £25 prize every 27 months from your £1,000 is a good benchmark.0 -
3*£25 on £50k. So 1.8% tax free, 2.25% equiv for a basic rate tax payer.
Since fully funded: 2.4% tax free, 3.0% equiv for a basic rate tax payer.
Definitely, definitely can't last.0 -
