Can anyone suggest what should be the ideal PB share in one's portfolio?

I can't see any reason to hold them unless you need somewhere to put cash short term and you have exhausted the better paying current accounts.

Tony can you share your portfolio split between PB and other investments?

I have about 7.5% of my portfolio in PBs at the moment.
  • What do people think, is it best to invest the max allowed in 1 big chunk.... or make small deposits of say £1000? Would chances of success increase or decrease either way?

Not that i have that kind of money but a question i always had on my mind.

    Thanks

As ERNIE is Electronic Random Number Indicator Equipment, it doesn't make any difference how many you buy, or in what amounts, or at what time, or where you live in the country. Each number stands as much chance of winning as any other. Of course if you have £30k in Bonds then you have 30,000 chances of winning, but whether your bonds are in a bulk or not makes no difference whatsoever.
