 getting fed up with Premium Bonds

    2012 - 1.66% return
    2013 - 0.825% return

Since holding with first bond bought in 1977! - never had more than a £25 value win.

Maximum holding for the past 4 years.

    PANTS! :(

only a small number of gamblers can win against the house.

Every month my account doesn't show the current month until much later than everyone else.

My log in account is still only showing December.

Don't worry, they always seem to take a few working days to update everyone's accounts.

Nothing for aaaaages. I'm one of those people that seems to be on ERNIEs list for "give 'em a one quick prize within 3 months of buying, then ignore them".

Now I know statistically that it shouldn't happen. I don't believe in such silly myths. But it's mighty suss when it happens :)
  • I took what was intended to be a six month £5k punt from the start of last year.

I won £25 in Jan, Feb and Mar. Then £25 in Jul. But nothing in the six months since! Strange pattern. :)

    I've withdrawn £4k today. :)

Strange, We got the FIL £2000 worth. He has won several times. I think £25 each time.

Yet my dad has had some for many years and never won anything.

It's what you call pot luck. It is a lottery, albeit one where the chance of losing your stakes is a lot lower than in the national lottery.
