i notice no one here has posted a decent sized win. ever!
i got 400 pounds in total last year in 50's and a 100 which was great because i only starting investing oct 2007. while the isa is at 2% its premium bonds all the way!
not true - had a 100k winner on here a couple of years ago - was nice to see an mse'er do well...often see mentions of the odd 10k here and there too...Beware Lego Men with Deep pockets...! :cool:0 -

2 x £50 for me
1 x from £150 bonds bought september 2007
But, can anyone beat this?
The other £50 has come from a batch of bonds bought March 2006 and its the 5th time I've won from them!
SueBe happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
Just won £50 in the Feb draw, seem to get 1 or 2 £50's a year on a £1000 so happy with that return :beer:0

im not being understood here ..... i know that there are many newer bonds than older .
i actually mean my own personal bonds .... not the millions of newer bonds purchased
Trademark, no one is listening!! to what you are saying. Not your fault.
For what it is worth I believe your suspicions are correct whenever I buy new bonds they seem to come up withgin a few months and then never win again. I now have my full amount and thinking of selling and buying to see what happens.0 -

Trademark even noted (over 3 years ago) why their theory was statistically ridiculous, then followed this with "yawn" and proceeded to cite "their experience". It's a sample of 1! Read several other posts here for equally compelling counterexamples, then think rationally about how this pattern could ever actually occur. It cannot be by chance, and it sure as hell wouldn't be on purpose.0 -

Hi all, i have 20,000 in premium bonds and have had no winnings since september. I know that the prize fund has gone down so its harder to win but i was having a lot of luck before with prize average of 150 a month and sept 250. I moved house after the sept draw and since then nothing, surley with my previous luck i should have won at least 50 since? should i email them to make sure everything is alright with my bonds since i moved or just accept my new luck? Thanks
You have TOLD them you've moved ?0 -

Nice to see a million pound winner with a £100 block within a 16.1K total holding, likewise the £100K winner with a £50 block within a 8.7K holding, proving you don't always have to have the full 30K holding to win big.
But it helps!0
