This is the link for the form to download to cash in your bonds.

I've decided to cash mine in but what a nightmare. I hold almost the full quota, purchased over many many years in dribs and drabs and it seems each bond has to be listed separately on the sheet which only has 12 lines for inputting of bond numbers, so you have to continue on a separate sheet of paper. Wouldn't you think they would have provided an option with one box to tick if you wanted to cash in your total holding? And I see you have to send all your bond certificates back with your application. In my case, that's a big package which the Post Office will probably lose in the post. Nothing is simple, is it?0 -

First £50 for me in a few months!0 -
I expect you thought hard before cashing in your bonds primrose and I wonder what you are going to do now with your money.
I do not have many bonds but feel that I don't trust putting the money with anyone right now and prefer the sanctury of PBs to any risk taking venture. The pound is slipping down the scale again and there is no end in sight to the financial woes the country is experiencing. We have a load of bankers to blame for this so why would I give them my money to look after?
Thanks for the link but I am going back to not checking my winnings MardyBum and will wait for the post to tell me if I have won anything or not - more fun that way.0 -
That's all the prizes for this year then, so converting my annual prizes to an interest rate averages 3.96% gross, which isn't that good - however last year I was on 7.29% gross, and that was much better! Will see how they fair for the next few months now that the prize fund has dropped so dramatically and then decide what to do...0

£100 this month which is good considering the reduction in overall prizes.

Just as I decided it was time to cash my bonds in I've won another £50. Yes, it's a dilemma knowing what else to do with the money as I'm trying to offset the interest loss we'll be suffering on other savings now we're no longer working and need our savings to provide additional income. But by the time I've spent hours listing out all the individual bond numbers on the claims sheet (have got hundreds of £1 bonds dating back to prehistoric times among my holdings and got the money back, we'll have suffered another interest rate cut, so it's swings and roundabouts now all the decent fixed rate accounts are disappearing.0
