mayb, its all very well waiting for the postman to bring that big prize and it can be a nice suprise, but did you know that if you havnt recieved a leter by the 5th of the month there is a good chance you havnt won a medium or larger prize.
the £500 + prizes are always sent out first, the 50's and 100's arrive around the middle of the month.
anyone noticed this board is a lot quieter, i suspect alot have cashed in as the economy worstens.0 -
Got another £50 yesterday. I put £2000 in October 2007 and this brings the total winnings to £300.Marsh Samphire0

small wins are up....nothing for me again:mad: only £50 "winnings" on 25k holding in last 3 months...the "fun" of premium bonds has well and truly gone for me now and i must get round to withdrawing my money.might keep a 5k block in though just for the might be factor.
given all the people on here who have large holdings and the lack of wins over 5k does anyone else have suspicions about whether the large prizes are really paid out??
i dont expect to win the million every month but i check 3 peoples holdings every month, all of which are 25k+ and only once over 2 years has there been any prize of over £100 paid out (£500) which together with all the other large holders does seem pretty poor!
this is a slightly drunken rant so apologies over grammer, but certainly something ive been thinking about for a while....now where is that withdrawal form!0 -
I'm in the same situation and have the same gripes, so you are not alone. A total of £500 this year in 8 months, so not great when compared to the 1 year bonds now available.
Time to withdraw and re-invest, I'm not having fun any more.0 -
£50 here
That's total of £600 in 4 months on £21k which is ok.somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0
