    If you have PB's and you don't win anything, in effect you have lost the interest earned.

    JonbVN I was contrasting the effects of using my interest from a savings account to buy lottery tickets or scratch cards as suggested by ST8, with using the interest to buy Premium Bonds. The premium bond option means you get to keep the interest you earned if you don't win your money is still there. Whereas with lottery tickets ..................!

    And .............I still don't care - but thanks anyway!

    My £500 win arrived very early. The 2 £50s very late. I've had 3 £500s in the past 4 months, as well as some £50s and £100s.
