Following my earlier post...no £100k again....one prize of £100 so that remains my biggest individual prize...ljayljay said:BIG WINNERS
A question more out of curiosity really, especially from anyone with experience of winning a BIG prize, say £10,000 plus.
The NS&I App/Website will notify results around midnight. I am aware I could check now if I have won a big prize but don't normally bother. Especially, as the odds are so low my expectations are understandably not great. However, in any case since they are already published would I have already been notified in advance by NS&I of my good fortune?
Or alternatively, can I still live in hope that tomorrow morning I will wake up to £100k when I check the App.
PS so far my biggest individual win is £100 but just like to manage my expectations.

£100 win on £7400 Holding, Not too bad though, it stopped a run of blanks, £1250 winnings since April, ain't too bad seeing as that included 5 blank months.Corduroy pillows are making headlines! Back home in London now after 27years wait! Duvet know it's Christmas, not original, it's a cover.0

£0 on full holding.

The table below shows the expected total number of wins from all the 2025 calendar year draws combined (so January to December draws inclusive of both) if the holding has remained unchanged during the calendar year 2025. It takes into account reductions in the prize fund rate from 4%pa to 3.6%pa over the year.
So on a 50K holding (as shown in the column on the right) you could have expected on average about 8 £100 wins, 8 £50 wins and 10 £25 wins. And on a 50K holding you would have had just under a 1 in 3 chance of winning at least one prize of £500 or above in the year to date.Required winnings to match the prize fund rate for the year (average prize fund rate was 3.77%pa) on a 50K holding are £1,883 as shown in the penultimate row of the table. The £500 and above wins on a full 50K holding are going to be few and far between as the table shows. As we know this skews the median winning amount downwards. So I've shown the arithmetic mean winnings of £100 and below prizes also which is £1,507 for a 50K holding.I won nothing at all on a £1,000 holding in 2025. Last wins September 2024 (£100) and July 2024 (£100) while also holding £1,000. On £1,000 it's a coin toss on whether you might have had a win in 2025. I called heads and it came up tails.

Zip for me again this month. My previously good run has very clearly come to an end. I'm falling short of SnowMan's projected winnings above. It brings my annual return to 2.61% - time for them to move elsewhere.
I always quite liked the format, as the funds were easy enough to get at if really needed, but just hard enough that I wouldn't dip into them if I saw something I fancied buying. So it acted as my proper emergency funds. I liked them a lot better when I was getting around 7%.3 -
£25 on full holding :'(
5.05% annual return so I can't really complain at that.

Nothing again on FH
This calendar year has been awful. 5 blanks, and winnings of £1000 altogether, very poor1
