i want to cash in some premium bonds, but want to hold them for January’s draw.
What would be the earliest date in January that I can notify NS&I to sell them?
I would personally wait until after the drawer results have been announced, and you've confirmed you haven't won anything on the bonds you want to cash in. Though others may know of an actual date cut-off

When cashing in bonds, there is an option to cash in the bonds after the next draw. Though I have never used this option, I will probably try it out for the January draw.

I'm sure you can request cash before draw takes place and state that you want the money after the next draw is done. So you will still have them bond's in the draw. And you may get your money a little quicker after the draw takes place.
  • Didn't win a penny in 2024. :(

Me neither.  But then again, my holding was reduced to £25 for most of it :D

No mill for me this month again, that's over 12 months I've missed it now.

One of the £1million winners only bought their bond in Nov 2024 - so this must be their first draw and they won a cool million?   Jammy git.
Says that bond was purchased on nov 24 but that they have a large holding (full 50k?) so possibly very very lucky, or just lucky but had lots already and topped up to maximum.

Nothing in 2024 for me either, according to MSE's calculator, the odds of that on my holding are less than 5% :(
