Can someone please let me know if Asda Electricals do any codes/vouchers?

If yes, I'd be very grateful if someone could post a few codes & let me know where to enter them, as there doesn't seem to be anywhere to do this during checkout. Ta, G

P.S. Couldn't find any cashback either

Crikey, and I thought it was only me who had troubles with ASDA delivery. I used to shop at ASDA instore, decided to try the home delivery instead and they kept messing it up so I switched to Tesco. Much better. So ASDA home delivery has cost ASDA stores this household's shopping.

The best part was that I wrote a letter to Mr. Grant Marshall, store manager of the Great Bridge store which handled my deliveries, and pointed out all of the problems I'd had so that he could make improvements and maybe tell me why problems occurred and how they were being fixed so that I could start to use ASDA with confidence again. Didn;t even have the courtesy to reply. I shouldn't have been surprised should I?

I'm certainly not surprised. ASDA just isn't "Happy to Help" and doesn't care. I had a 'phone call today from the Home Shopping Manager who assures me that this week's shopping will be delivered to my door. [Funny that, I thought that was all part of the service I was paying for] and that my order will be checked for completeness before it leaves the store [ditto]. She reinterated that if I have any problems I shouldn't hesistate to 'phone the store and ask to speak to her colleague [What again!?].

Mistakes happen even in the most tightly run organisations. It is they way in which companies seek to resolve and learn from problems when they occur that separates the good from the bad...

I'm pretty fed up with it all, and will probably do my own shopping instore or move over to Tesco's. At least I can say, "My husband went to school with Terry Leahy" (the Chief Executive), when something goes wrong.

I won't miss the "Wagon Wheels"... I gave my daughter the last one this afternoon and she has been running around like a hyperactive chipmunk ever since.

    A quick update...

I received my ASDA shopping order, within the allotted time slot, delivered to my door by a cheery, helpful and apologetic driver, bearing flowers. So far so good... Unfortunately, my yoghurts (10 Muller yoghurts for £2) were delivered in a bag with 0.8kg of sweet potatoes - hence strawberry yoghurt surprise!). I am just about ready to let a couple of squished yoghurts pass - after all, my husband is feeling "adventurous" this lunch time (and and it saves having to rehanging the chandelier).

My shopping had obviously been carefully checked. Only two substitute items this week - sensible ones!

However, before you think this is all going just too well...

We keep a calendar so our meals are a bit like a "going out of date" food lottery which leads us to experiment with new and novel food "fusion" combinations. I was surprised to find some chocolate puddings "use by" dated Thursday, unfortunately not this Thursday, but last Thursday, the 12th July...

I can understand something being one day out ... after all, they probably picked this stuff off the shelves yesterday, but two days suggests a wider stock rotation problem in store. This also dispels the myth that the "pickers" choose the longest dates available on the shelf, "as you would yourself". It rather indicates that they show no regard to "use by" dates at all.

When we 'phoned the store, we didn't have to give our customer number... just our surname was sufficient. I think we have gained a reputation - and not necessarily a good one...

It must be as my husband says (mid-yoghurt), "Pay peanuts - employ simians". Should I test out the tolerances of "use by" dates and try him on the chocolate puddings next?;)
