Hi All,
I ordered some stuff off ASDA last week (even with Saturday delivery!) with my new ASDA CC, free delivery and a £10 off evoucher were all credited - Just checked the CC bill online and the correct amount including the voucher/delivery decuctions has been charged!
I am pleased, couldn't have got it that cheap if we went to the shop!
Cheers

.....
jUST CHECKED AND STILL WORKING
Does this mean you can get £10 off £35 subtotal spent, i.e. before the multibuy discount kicks in, so if you purchased BOGOF's you would only be charged approx £7.50 + delivery if not using an ASDA CC0 -
I just have to say that although I do like Asda I find it a problem the way they do the payment system.
When you make an order Asda put a claim to your bank account for the total amount of the order before they actually shop for it unlike Tesco where they put the claim to the bank when it goes through the till just like you would if you shopped for it yourself. I'm with Halifax and online I see my balance and then my available balance which goes down by the exact amount of the Asda order so its gets witheld for asda. Then when Asda have done the shopping and it goes through the till the real amount gets claimed from the bank by Asda so that also gets deducted from the available balance on your bank account too.
Really Asda should inform the bank to release the first claim they made to the bank but I have had to ring Asda up to do this every time. Last week I almost got charges I had to ring the bank. I knew there was enough money in the account to cover everything I had paid out for but what sent it over was Asda not releasing the first claim. It is happening right now again in my account from an order I had last Thursday but I have put extra money in to allow for this but I don't think I should have to do this. Basically you get charged double to your bank untill Asda release the first claim. My order last week was almost £70 that was reserved for Asda by the bank at thier request. My true order came and it was actually about £49 but I actually am down in my available balance by both those amounts to Asda. This has happened every time I've ordered from them and thats now 4 times
I'm just interested to see just how long they will take to release it ithout me having to phone them again. Its very annoying and people can easily find themselves getting charged for this. If they are going to do it this way they should release the first amount at the time they put the real total through the till.Thanx

It works, just ordered for this Wed, they must have had some cancellations as when I usually put in for a delivery the next available date is about 5 days off.
1 question, when Asda make a mistake on your order or if you are not happy with substitutes how long does it usually take eo refund your account? I was promised refunds 3 weeks ago and still nothing!0 -

I had a refund and it was quite quick about the same as tescos I'd say, about 3 or 4 days. When you ring them not email. But I think like tescos they also say allow 10 days just to be sure so 3 weeks is way too long somethings gone wrong there just give them a callThanx

thanks to all the posters - I have just made my first order - came to £50.71 but with all the multisaves and 10 off came to £27.95. I have been charged delivery of £3.99. As the original subtotal was above £50 would I be able to get free delivery???
Any info appreciated thanksIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
only if when you checked out it told you that delivery was free, or you could ring customer services like i did and tell them you thought delivery was free, and that you did not realise that using the voucher would invalidate your free delivery (Using voucher changed your sub total amount at checkout)Regards
