rotflmao. gotta do the button defense thing. only problem is i'm running out of buttons.  ;D

    what does rotflmao mean? ???

Cathy, you seen too many 'Death Wish' movies :o ;D

160, you've got the base - how about sticking buttons onto the shade?

I saw a 'changing rooms' type programme on TV once and they covered a coffee table with buttons (made an interesting design) and then topped it with glass. Saw another where they bought box-frames and stuck buttons into those.

I have some Christmas decorations that are button men - 1 string of large buttons for the body; 2 strings of buttons for legs and 2 for arms, intersperced with small beads for the joints. Use larger ones for the head and feet - but you could use corks.

Forgot to say that they're great for children making birthday and Christmas cards.

Also, you could donate them to school for their bazaar and have a 'how many buttons in the jar' stall ( mind you, someone would have to count them then) and then let them use them in the art department. ;)

I stitched what seemed like thousands onto a skirt for my daughter once. Monsoon were selling similar ones at the time but as she had a plain one, I just decorated it and she got loads of compliments about it.

I've found a use for some of mine..............my daughter has to make a venetian style mask for an art project. She's decided to use buttons to form her design.
Oh well, I suppose that will get rid of about 20 - only another million or so to go!! ::)

Don't know why I didn't think of this earlier......... but as I was wading through daughter's bedroom on the hunt for plates, bowls, glasses etc, I stepped onto one of her flip flops that was lurking under a magazine.
Anyway, she bought them from Accessorize in the summer and the plastic V shapes have little jewels and buttons glued onto them.
I know it's a bit late for this year but maybe something for next summer? ;)
