I hate rude visitors :mad: . How dare they not bother for 7 years than come round cos they just want to see the new house. Just say it doesnt suit you. Humph!

Lil_me.. do you know the words.. NO this weekend is NOT convenient but I would love to see you the weekend after...???

I upset the inlaws at christmas by telling them they couldn't come over on Boxing day as my family were coming over.. I told them 'we already have company'.. they blustered a bit about not staying long I offered them other days to come.. hahaha... it is YOUR house therefore YOUR rules.. better still.. make OH phone! lol

Oooh that so reminded me of the Project From Hell I worked on several years ago. I was stuck in a hotel, all expenses paid, for five months Monday to Friday (this sounds soooo ungrateful but after a couple of weeks, it becomes pergatory!). After I'd done the hotel menu twice, it got to asking the Maitre D' what chef had in the freezer that he could surprise me with. And then you got fed up with cordon bleu this, cordon bleu that.

I would come home weekends and my Friday night dinner was regularly a fish finger sandwich with lots of tomato ketchup! It tasted soooo good after all that high-falutin' stuff

Lil-me - breath, relax. Don't bust a gut. Take Pigpen's advice and do your best to stall them for a week - invent a vomiting bug if you have to. If you can't do that, then let them see you as you really are. If you're really lucky, they may not come again

But seriously, I've found that as long as you can divert people with nice food etc. they tend not to notice the blemishes around the place. Big !!!!!!!!!!!!{hugs}}}}}}}. Write your list, prioritise it into critical, major, minor. Concentrate on criticals, then majors then minors on the understanding that minors can actually be ignored if you run out of time.
