Johanne - YAY well done getting that bag started, I will sleep better tonight LOL :j

Edited to add I also took dressing gown and wore it to breakfast - in our hospital you wander down the corridor (wheeling baby in goldfish bowl) to the day room and get your own breakfast. I was nervous first time ad wished they would just bring me it in bed, but actually its really nice to chat to everyone - compare labour stories etc LOL
Guess its whatever you're comfy in. And it did take up half the bag LOL

michelle - you mention DS being clingy. God I remember when I was in the last few months of pregnancy with DD1. DS was 18 motnsh when she was born so very similar gap to yours. During those last few moinths DSwas unbearably clingy. I couldn't turn my back on him if we were out, couldn't go out of a door even to grab a bag, it really got to me after a while. I was only in overnight but he was still very clingy for quite a few months. I remember talkingto my Mum and saying I just dont know what to do to stop him being so clingy, none of my friends' 1 1/2 - 2 year olds were as bad etc, she said just let him follow you everywhere, dont stress about it and that really helped , I just let him be clingy and eventually he got through it.
I suppose what I am trying to say is no matter how long you spend in hospital whether its a few hours or a few weeks he probably will be clingy for a bit anyway.

One other thing when I think of it - his behaviour was horrednous the first few weeks and I remember crying to the midwife "what have we done to him, the bottom has dropped out of his world" and she said "well you've done the most wonderful thing for him, you've given him a sibling. He will stop being clingy and tantrumy but he will always have a sibling now". That has stayed with me, and made me feel heaps better.

Problem is it starts on April 28th!! Exactly 2 weeks after my due date... so if i dont pop before or exactly on time... then hes not gonna get his full paternity leave! And if i go over and need to be induced they wont do it until the day hes meant to be starting the new job at least !! :(:( So he wont be around at all cos no way he can ask to start later as its a major new employer and its a whole team starting together and they'll be going on a training course to gain a licence so no delaying the starting date..

If you aren't measuring small or anything you could always ask your midwife if you can be induced at say 41 weeks, at least you'd have him around at the start. If you explain youwill have no support at home otherwise they may do it for you. When they discharge you in hospital its one of the things they ask 0 if you have support at home or not. If you don't then some ares provide more visits from midwives, HVs so if you have the support then it costs the NHS less in terms of home visits etc. IYSWIM.

Don't be afraid to state what you want, its not all as out of your control as you think first time round.

Just popping in to say goodnight really. Been a very busy day. The bathroom is clean and tidy, the desks clean but untidied. Kitchen isn't too bad but hasn't been used much. Bedrooms are poo tips. Sitting room is tidy :D but I am not even going to look in the dining room.

DS1s got an appointment tomorrow so we'll be out quite a bit of tomorrow, think I'll have to put the boys rooms to Sunday, DP is away Sunday and in bed all day Saturday so probably the best day. I'll clear the floor and vacuum them tomorrow while DP takes DS1 out however as the boys can't cope with the noise of the vacuum cleaner.

OU course manager phoned back this afternoon, I'd left a message yesterday asking if they'd sorted the stuff we need and if it'd been sent. Well they rang today 'sorry we didn't realise it was urgent' ermmmmmmmmmmm, so I replied with 'urgent as in we needed to have studied this course, we haven't been able to do the parts using the programme and have our assignment in by 2nd April!!!!! You're the course manager, shouldn't you know this????' Well anyway after me loosing my head a little they are sending it out in the morning.

Right, time for dogs out and bed for me, might have to pop the heating on for an hour as it's chuffing cold in here and DP moans if it's cold when he gets in from work.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
