I cleared out the kitchen shelves, wiped, binned out of date stuff, now all back on the shelves. Advantage of little storage space, doesn't take long to do.

Just looked up the garden to see big fat ginger cat asleep on my seedlings in the greenhouse. Just need to find the boys water pistol.... and some more chicken wire as a temporary guard for the trays.

Viv - just crossed posts with you. I cant see the after pic for the study?

Its the craft room , not study.......possibly not tidy for some people but is tidy for us, as we have some many craft items to fit in such a small room
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

sorry skintscotlass. Don't want to be offensive about the broderie anglais stuff. It wouldn't bother me as much with a baby girl, but i hated it for DS. Plus, the cats had a bit of a thing for it too. what with it being dangly and them only being a year old at the time. totally impractical for me.
surprise surprise we still haven't had a delivery, and i have to go for DS in a minute. How annoying. I bet they come now while i am out. What a PITA

Oh not offended at all. Just feel about 100 compared to you and Joahnne ;) :rotfl:

I'm still waiting for the delivery. I'm sure they'll turn up at 5.55

I've just realised that I haven't been on here at all this week. I am trying to keep on top of cleaning but have done other things like fridges and freezer clearing and cleaning. Helping DSs find jobs is so time consuming too. I will try to get a quiet time later to read all your posts.

michelle - that's spooky because when my daughter was in special care we were right behind reception. all i could here was the phones going and being answered. i used to get so hacked off...how dare people carry on and laugh etc when we were going through this. i found a diary for that time yesterday when i was sorting drawers. the emotion was so raw i had to go and give dd a huge hug. mind you, on the plus side, she was on a sedative so she slept so well. all my friends wanted some for their babies. also, she'd had so many checks i knew she was in A1 condition, lol.

boddy - well the housing and schooling is fine, we just need to see if there's definitely a job. i'm sure most people do it the other way round. the daft things is i'm really worrying about what to do with out cat. my mum and dad will have the dog but their cat is a bully and beats other cats up really badly. i couldn't rehome our cat for good as i'd really want her back when we come back but i've no idea if people foster cats for a whole year. does anyone have any ideas? the things i worry about! xx

vivw and hex2 well done :D what a difference!!! If you have a spare few hours you could come and do mine if you like :rotfl:

Those with DD issues (Direct Debit not kids) What I would say with DD for utilities. IF you are good with your money and will be able to put it away, then tell them you want to cancel the DD and save the money up, paying the bill when it comes in. Work out your costs based on the prices per unit and what you use on average so you can save an accurate amount. Companies are getting silly with a low DD at first to get you to be a customer then increasing them way over what you use so you're then paying more than you should. Our BT account was in credit by £40 but then in their wisdom decided they'd double it, I called an they refused to change it so I complained via email said either drop it back down or cancel it! The dropped it back down. Sometimes however you do get a 'direct debit discount' but sometimes this isn't worth the hassle.

Pigpen and anyone else who uses Huggies pull ups they are half price in Sainsburys

boddy - thinking of you all, can't of been an easy day for any of you x

    AnWsMum what a lovely photo!!

Argh, now I've forgotten what else I was going to say. Bother! Been a busy day, mainly sorting shopping, collecting car parts for Mam's car, cleaning etc. Nurse has been out, getting some things provided to help with DSs bed wetting which should save me a fortune. Pants with pants so hoping might reduce the nappy rash he keeps getting too.

Right swimming soonish so time to get stuff sorted, will be back later this evening hopefully to catch up properly.
One day I might be more organised...........
