No flying really done here except for dailies (and even now I still have dishes to wash
) as I decided enough was enough and took DD into town window shopping for her "new bedroom"
I swear that child is going to be a commentator of some kind when she's older! She did nothing but talk! Mind you she is definetly a moneysaver in the making (sort of)...there we are looking at rolls of fabric in Abakhan fabrics (Liverpool store obviously) and DD starts shouting all over the shop "Mummy I like this one, but its £2.50 thats too expensive, and this one is £4.50. Thats silly prices!":o Then she pipes up at the top of her lungs while we're looking through the remmants section (where they do the material by weight) "Mummy have you seen this pink fur? I love it but its £10.99 a kilo. How expensive is that!"
:rotfl: I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me with some of the things she came out with. In the end we found lots of nice material varying in price from 99p/m upto £4.50/m (), so will wait until we can see how much we need before we go and buy it
She also wants some cushions, and then trimming like beads and stuff on the cushions  She also wants to overhaul her current lampshade with some dangling beads as the lampshade she saw today and liked was £12.99  She did however buy a pink plastic bin with flowers on from Wilkinsons with her pocket money and is over joyed with it :rotfl::rotfl:
Right, time to try and repair DDs ceramic egg piggy bank she dropped. Could be a long night as I'm going to have to hold it in position until the glue sets  :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

soappie - sounds like fun!
secret squirrel's report - yellow van parked over road most of day, several cars parked on road near your house, rain at around 11am, overcast but dry in afternoon, dancing mongoose at 315. now, see if you can spot the one that didn't happen! :rotfl: xx
You missed the hoodies walking pass casing the jointThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Soappie back in calm mood and catching up with the events of the day thus:
Dusty - you said you saw lots of people walk past my house today. That's quite often happens but actually shouldn't because we are in a little go nowhere back water. I've often wondered where they're coming from and where they're going to! We have had problems with drug dealers in the area so maybe .... And yes, I was lucky I didn't put the washing out - I contemplated it but listened to the weather forecast so it didn't go out and didn't get wet. It'll just hang indoors to dry (now the visitors have gone!). And enjoy your Jays in the garden - they are so beautiful to watch.
Gunsnbanjos - I hope your thumb is OK now and your tale about the lentils reminded me of my forgetfullness over yorkshire puddings. It was the day I cooked sunday roast for the first time on my new cooker. They came out flat as the flattest thing you can think of. It was only when I took the tray out of the oven and saw them that I realised I'd forgotten to put an egg in the batter. I still served them up with an apology along the lines of 'I've not quite got used to this cooker yet'. They ate them :rotfl:without protest :rotfl:
Lilme - the mouse thing... reminded me of the time the cat came in with a mouse in her mouth. She took it to the kitchen and sat under the table with it still in her mouth. I called DS in to come and help. We shut the kitchen door and DS held the cat upside down until she opened her mouth. Now, DS is kneeling on the floor to do this. The cat eventually opens her mouth, the mouse stops playing dead and scurries backwards, straight up DS's trouser leg! :rotfl:DS stands up but the mouse remains Up There, I evict the cat from the kitchen and shut the door again and then tell DS the only thing he can do is drop 'em. He has to, even though his Mum is standing there. :rotfl:This tiny wee, really cute proper field mouse drops to the floor and then manages to scurry through the tiny gap at the bottom of the kitchen door and then down through the tiniest of tiny holes where a pipe runs. We never saw it again.
LubyLoo - I may find some more walkers points for you - bear with me.
To all the others - hugs to those who need them - congrats to those brave enough to before pix - I'm looking forward to the afters!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
