Do you feel any more motivated for publishing them Sharon? What is your self imposed deadline for the next set of pictures?
I think everyone should post a picture of the worst bit of their house just to make me feel better. In my defence I would like to point out that the ground floor is fine, it is upstairs that is an issue, and it is a rather large house. It has only been this bad for a few months since I started doing consultancy work from home - I mean why clean when I could be earning silly money? I am so glad I can't read pink writing
Study or other reception room & bathrooms - Thursday

eta - Discount-Diva I had a hose go within the warrenty and it was replaced foc - a doddle to fit. If it is out of warrenty they tend to be cheaper on ebay than through dyson (but not always)0 -

Yes actually I do feel better for doing it. I have to come back and show you guys now what I have done. My self imposed deadline is this time tomorrow. I promise too that I won't just move it to another room. I will be boxing up a lot of the books to give to the charity shop. I have given up ebaying books as they rarely seem to sell. I was swapping them on readitswapit for new ones that I hadn't read but that is just replacing one lot of clutter with another.
My study has always been a tip. My OH is a seriously bad hoarder and we could start our own stationary shop with the amount we have. We keep buying new stuff though cos we have no idea what we have thereby ending up with multiples of the same things like pens, pencils, rubbers, pads etc. I am planning on getting it all in one place and doing an inventory.
I can't guarantee I will get the whole room done tomorrow but I am going to have a real good go at it.
Funnily enough my upstairs is pretty good. The three girls rooms are all pretty good as they do keep on top of their rooms (13, 11 and 7 year old girls). The family bathroom gets a SS every day now so thats good too. My bedroom and ensuite are not too bad, I did tackle half of the underbed today, never seen so much dust!!!May Grocery Challenge £254.16/£3200 -
i love all the piccies...sorry you don't get to see my hot spots as it's all inside drawers, cupboards and the attic. the actual rooms look really tidy. this broken wrist has been a godsend as i've actually got round to sorting out all the mess that's hidden. only 2 weeks and 6 days until the cast comes off and they'll decide if the keep the fixators a bit longer or not. lots of positive vibes please xx0

Mudbath I always convert tricky maths problems into sweets or cake. Works a treat especially if fairness is involved. I'd say if a packet of sweets has twenty sweets in it how may packets do you need for each child (108?) to have one each.
CGP maths books are really good. Have you tried bbc bitesize for maths? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

we've used bite size and she loves it. i've been letting her do stuff that's easy for her to get her confidence up and it seems to be working. i convert most problems to involve guinea pigs and then she's happy, lol, strange child xx
meant to say, i'm going to read up on comfrey too (sp?) xx0 -

Well, community meeting finished and I'm exhausted! There was me and three blokes.
<Rant on> We're talking about putting on a function towards the end of the summer. The hoops and byways and bypasses these blokes find to jump through and around and along is ridiculous! You just want to slap them sometimes and say - "Oh for heaven's (and that's the nice word!) sake stop beating about the bush, elaborating and fantasising, just focus and agree something that's along the lines of the spec - not along the lines of how much further can we stretch/enhance/grow the spec." but you can't because you're a professional. Ahh me
<Rant off>
Thanks for putting up with that - normal service will be resumed shortly....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

soappie - sounds like fun!
secret squirrel's report - yellow van parked over road most of day, several cars parked on road near your house, rain at around 11am, overcast but dry in afternoon, dancing mongoose at 315. now, see if you can spot the one that didn't happen! :rotfl: xx0 -
When I had glimpsed thru flylady thread before I'd always assumed hotspots were actual spots (ie fruit bowl) - not whole rooms!!
For me they are - they are the pile of stuff on the table or the top of the stairs etc not an entire room!!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
