Most of them seem to have mixed reviews, but this is the one I got and am very happy with it, as long as it is pre-warmed with some boiling water it keeps food hot for as long as I want it!

Get a thermos and make sure you warm it with boiling water before putting the soup in. You could try making the soup extra thick and seasoned so he can add a little boiling water (if there's a kettle!) to make it hotter before eating.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

I got one from Aldi a couple of weeks ago for £4.99.
Use it every day for soup. Keeps it warm for about 6 hours but you do have to heat it quite a lot to keep it hot for lunchtime!0 -
Has anyone tried the small stainless steel food flasks currently on sale in Home Bargains? They are only 5.99 and I've considered getting one each for my 4 DD since they are vegan they have to take food most places. Most food flasks are very bulky but these might be just the right size - don't want to buy them if they are rubbish though. No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!0

It's not all that good mate.I bought one for the same reasons as the OP & have used it about a dozen times, now as soon as I put hot stuff in it (after pre-warming as it said in instructions) the flask outside is as hot as the food, which then is cold in a matter of a couple hours.0 -
we bought one today for £10 and its rubbish
Could I ask which one it is? I bought one from Sainsbury's the other day for that price and have only used it once so far (for liquid, i.e. hot choc on Bonfire night, and that was within a couple of hours) so am intererested to know if it's the same one - hope not!Life is mainly froth and bubble

I have this. Its fab. Its not cheap but is really great for soup and does definitely keep food warm until lunchtime (and beyond). I use this whenever I go out and take soup or a pasta/rice dish in it.0
