exellent - for me that would mean putting in the flask at 815 and having lunch by 215 - or there abouts. Sounds doable.
how much did you spend on yours if you don't mind me asking? This one seems to get the best reviews but twenty quid's steep!A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

It was a tenner! about average i think. I did see the same one advertised in Argos for 6.49 but out of stock, its a thermos 0.5l one. Perfect size for me.

i bought a lakeland stainless steel one for £6 a few weeks ago. I just heat it up with boiling water for a few mins and then add the food. My soup I didn't eat one day was still warm after work - 10 hours later.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

Has anyone bought one of those Thermos King food flask flasks , (search on amazon for "Thermos Stainless King Food Flask 0.47 Litre, Blue" inclduing quotes)
as far as i can see from review its the bees knees for flasks & beats the microwave type for heat retention. but how big is its mouth? can i get a jacket potato inside or do i need to cut it up?
i've got £40 amazon voucher to spend, planning on a flask , the takeaway secret cookbook, a couple of microwave heat packs just in case & an insulated lunch bag.
If anyone knows Jamie, pitch him a tv prog about a hot & healthly packed lunch...seems to be the only program not on the telly0 -
I've bought a 0.5L food flask for my shift working husband and am wondering what will work well in it, apart from the obvious soups and stews. Not that he doesn't like soups or stews, it's just nice to have other things too...
I know to pre-heat the flask with boiling water.
So... I'm assuming wet, saucy dishes will work the best, as they won't leave any gaps in the flask, meaning the food will stay hotter longer. Am I right? Or does anything go, as long as it's tightly packed in?
Can anyone suggest quick and easy ideas for when there's nothing already made?
Pasta dishes, I'm slightly worried they'd end up with the pasta very overcooked, is undercooking pasta to avoid this, a good idea?
Any experience you can share to cut down on my trial and error time will be most welcome!0 -
I just shove pot noodles and beans and sausages in ours, lol, but there are some dedicated sites....
