  • No brainer. The original and best. Thermos. In true MSE fashion, shop around for the best price. They are also sold in a lot of supermarkets. They have a 10 year guarantee, so not only keep the receipt, but also scan or photocopy it. The thermal printed ones fade.

By sausages, do you mean individual ones? If so, I'd suggest putting them in a seal-able bag with the air squeezed out after you cook them, and then popping them in the flask after partially filling it (the flask) with some hot water. The water would then keep them hot for a lot longer than simply popping them into the flask.
    I have no signature.
  • I use a Thermos one.

I heat it up first with a bit of hot water before adding soup/stew. If it is filled to more or less the top, the food is pipping hot come lunch time. But if I don't fill it so full, it's warm enough, but it's not hot.

  • TBH i've never found a food flask that stays hot enough.

I have bought about 8 different ones from the cheap to the expensive and the thicker the water the colder it quickly gets, so unless he likes tea or coffee then it won't be very hot, barely lukewarm.

I did try with a cup o soup once and the school gave me a swift telling off citing 'elf and safety'
Capital one was £1000.00 now £0.00:j

I bought one for DH but even if we prewarm it and put stuff in boiling hot it's still not hot enough for him by lunch time. I used it and it was ok but that was for a short time and I am less fussy. I wouldn't buy one again.

I was looking into buying one a few months ago and decided in the end I didn't really need it. As far as I can remember though, there was a thermos one which was really expensive (about £20) which had great reviews. Everyone was saying that it kept the food more than hot enough, especially if you pre-warmed it. Will see if I can find a link.....
    Not Buying It 2015 :)
