Thank you, i'll be ordering my dialler once i've figured out what carriers i need...your a star0

the_devil_made_me_do_it wrote:People use more than one carrier because each individual company offers different deals. This could be simply connection fee, or call charges might be different at different times of the day. And because the dialler does most of the hardwork for you, it's good money saving to use different carriers which suit your individual needs.
ie. I use:
a / daytime/evening weekday landline calls – 18866
b / weekend landline calls – 18866
c / weekday daytime mobile calls – 1899
d / weekday evening mobile calls - 1899
e / weekend mobile calls – 18185
f / 0845 weekday calls – 1899
g / 0845 weekend calls – 18185
h / 0870 weekday calls - 1899
i / 0870 weekend calls - 18185
j / international calls – 1899
k / premium rate numbers - barred
l / 118866 - barred
This selection offers me the best money saving without being too complicated :j
Hope that answers your question
You are not getting the best value using the numbers the way you are, the main differences are on 0870s w/e & evenings
i.e 0845 weekdays-1899 3p+ 3p conn 0845 - BT 3p per min no conn (3 min call,1899 12p, BT 9p)
0845 weekend 18185 1p per min + 4p conn 0845 - BT 1p per min no conn (1-3 min call,1899 5p, 1-5 min call BT 5p, 10 min call 1899 14p, BT 10p)
0870 weekdays evenings 1899 7p +3p conn 0870 - BT 3.75p per min no conn
0870 weekend 18185 2p per min + 4p conn 0870 - BT 1.5p per min no conn
BT do have a 5 p min but with a 4p conn you are already on the same 5p with 18185 then you start saving with BT, not much on 0845s, but more on 0870sDon`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Just a quick question about 18866, it says for UK landlines 0.0p, does that mean it's free to phone a landline? sorry to sound dim, but i'm unsure what that means0

Your the call will cost you 2p not mater how long you are on the call. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

Can I ask a quick question:
If I sign up for JustDial Saver Lite (don't you hate that Americanism ?!?), can I still direct non-weekend and evening calls through 18866 or 1899 using the Orchid Dialler ? The only reason that I am confused is that JustDial is a CPS - does that mean they can ban using these other services ?0 -

You can still use both 18866 and 1899 even though you are CPS'd to JustDial Lite. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
