Is it cheaper to use your Mobile using 18868 as well? I didn't really understand their website..I'll be signing up soon..

Also what are all these other numbers your all having such as the 1899? I mean why not just stick to 18868?

Also this Orchid carrier, it doesn't say on their website how it works..

As for why use different carriers - different carriers can be different price wise at different times of day and whether it's landline or mobile you're calling.

    Yes, that is correct.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

    Cool!

So I just get them to set it up with the numbers i give them and all i do is dial the normal phone number i want to phone and it automatically dials to those cheaper carriers? Sorry about the questions but i wanna get it right ;)

Now...what numbers are there for me to use? 18866 and 1899 is another, anymore?
  • 18185 is another

I don't understand why some of you use more then one carrier when they all do and offer the same. This is what is confusing me.
  • People use more than one carrier because each individual company offers different deals. This could be simply connection fee, or call charges might be different at different times of the day. And because the dialler does most of the hardwork for you, it's good money saving to use different carriers which suit your individual needs.

    ie. I use:
    a / daytime/evening weekday landline calls – 18866
    b / weekend landline calls – 18866
    c / weekday daytime mobile calls – 1899
    d / weekday evening mobile calls - 1899
    e / weekend mobile calls – 18185
    f / 0845 weekday calls – 1899
    g / 0845 weekend calls – 18185
    h / 0870 weekday calls - 1899
    i / 0870 weekend calls - 18185
    j / international calls – 1899
    k / premium rate numbers - barred
    l / 118866 - barred

This selection offers me the best money saving without being too complicated :j

    Hope that answers your question

Cool thanks..now please one other question.

When i get the Dialler peeps to programme the dialler when i buy it, does that mean i can just pick up my phone and dial my intended number and the dialler automatically dials through the right company..ie:

If i want to phone my sister on her landline, all i do is phone her number and the dialler selects the right carrier say 18866 and if i want to phone her mobile, i just dial her mobile number and the dialler just selects the carrier 1899 for me?
  • yup basically that's it. It recognizes local calls, so if ya sis lives in the same town/city as you, you only need to dial her home fone number, the dialler does the rest. The only time you need to add dialling codes, is if you need to fone another town/city or country. Pretty simple really.
The nice people at Orchid are also very helpful, they set my dialler up for me, I just told em the datials and they did the rest, and I just altered things as new carriers came available.
