...As you say there is no minimum term with CPS providers apart from the usual change over/set up time - I suppose this will vary with each provider.
The change over/setup time is about 14 days and will apply to all and every CPS provider as this time is specified under OfCOM rules. It can be longer if the CPS provider and/or BT have problems or have a backlog, etc but most of the time its is around 2 weeks.

    Thanks for the info.

CPS provider - I was thinking about using justdial saver lite as the evening and weekend calls don't seem to be for a limited time like Tele2. Or do you think Tele2 is a better service?

Was thinking about the dialler box as my two sons would probably not reliably use the prefix. I take it you just manually enter the prefix each time?
I'm on JustDialSaver lite now and after 1 week so far am well happy, can check all calls made online very easy to negotiate the website. Correction their website is a mess dont sign up until you know exactly what you will be paying for the LITE option, one part says its free yet when you go to sign up it states its £4-99 per month for free ev & we calls.

I would just go with JustDial Light tariff but be aware you can't yet (as far as I'm aware) view your billing online and therefore I assume they just email you with invoice/bill details and use Call18866 during the daytime.

I believe JustDial's mobile call costs cap is the first of the its kind and excellent for those mobile calls that are generally under 20mins in length.

Remember that you are not on a minimum term of any kind if you just use CPS and therefore transfer your calls only to either JustDial, Tele2 or TalkTalk so that if you don't like them then you simply switch to another provider for CPS.

If you are still unsure about JustDial then I'd recommend the next best option and that is Tele2's free evening&weekend option. I know its only till end of this year but its better than nothing. Once you get into next year you can simply change to another provider who may be doing the same deal or even consider trying JustDial. Remember Tele2 don't have a call length limit on their evening&weekend tariff unlike TalkTalk who will charge after 70mins (JustDial is 2hours which is lot more realistic than 70mins).

We are currently on OneTel's free evening&weekend package that ends April next year and unless another provider is offering the free evening&weekend then I know we'll be trying JustDial's free evening&weekend along with Call18866 during the daytime.

We use an Orchid dialler (3 in fact) to route our calls depending on time of day and type of call which saves all the messing around trying to remember to dial 18866 during the daytime, etc.

With TalkTalk (or OneTel) then the only thing they are both doing free is free weekend calls unlike Tele2 and JustDial who are both doing free evening & weekend calls.
I am with JustDial and you can indeed view your calls to date online.

    Thanks for all that.

I've just ordered an Orchid dialler as I doubt my sons would use the prefix reliably. I went for the V4 so that I can program it to use different options when I make my mind up. At the moment I asked for it to be set up to use Call18866 during the day and BT the rest of the time.

Where can you get them from?

I think you still can as well but you have to register your details on the webshop which is run by SecureOnlineShopping.biz here. Just click on the 'Register' button on the top right-hand side and enter promotion code 3 when asked.

For further details see MSE Martin's post here.

The best one would be the V4 dialler.

    Depends on your phones.

If you have DECT cordless phones linked to one base unit you will just need one dialler. If you have two phones, each plugged into a socket separately, you will need two.

Read through the this thread as it contains a lot of info.

I have asked them to do the initial setup for me as call18866 during the daytime and BT the rest of the time(using the BT offer at the moment). This will allow me to get to grips with programming it myself when I change to one of the CPS providers.
