I had the sales assistant from hell today too..

There was a stand of NO7 suncare stuff all of it marked up with buy one get one free on it. It was marked on every shelf so, to me, it looked like every thing on that stand was buy one get one free. I spent ages choosing my two products and went to the till. They didn't go through as buy one get one free. So I explained to the assistant that there must be an error as the shelf was all marked up. She then huffed under her breath...but loud enough for me to hear....."thats all I need today" and then the scowling began. She then got someone to check who said that yes it does look like its all buy one get one free but it isnt. There was no way they were budging. I had three of them stood round me by then. They kept going on asking which one I would like or do I still want them both. I ended up buying one of them but I wouldn't have chosen any if the shelves were marked up properly. The assistant was so rude in her attitude and when I left the shop I felt really upset. I couldn't continue my shopping and had to go straight home.

I purchased this offer with no problem, must have been a grumpy SA that you had serving you!!
  • where is advantage-card, she hasnt posted for ages

advantage card is fine, she posts on another forum i frequent :j
  • Just a quickie. Boots have 20% off Philips Sonicare brush heads at the moment.

  • BTW

Just to let you know that whilst the last Boots glitch was on, I ordered an electric toothbrush. It was £79 instead of £100. However it came with £35 of extra points. I have since returned it and have received a full refund. To my delight I have discovered today that they have not taken off my points! :j

    Thanks Boots.

That was something I was wondering about. I guess they may do given time (I don't know how long ago you ordered).

Maybe I'll be lucky with some of the R&M stuff I ordered that's already gone on my AC (£69 of points), but seems to be on its way back to Boots, as the courier couldn't find me, apparently. Fingers crossed.

  • Hi

Don't think this has been posted before but if you go to the Clinique counter in Boots between 29th Sept and 16th Oct and buy any 3 skincare products you will receive 1200 points :)
  • Sarahg,

They refunded me 10 days ago. Just incase I thought I would spend them today anyway! I bought a hair straightener for £35 reduced from £80 (Mark Hill Morphy richards). Well pleased.

Considered spending mine on a Tassimo - may well do that now, just in case.

    Many thanks.

I have had a reply from Boots re the Intuition razors (the cashier refused to let me have them on BOGOF, as they were already half price). Here's what they said:

I am sorry to learn that after using our advantage card point to print off a buy
one get one free offer, you where told that this offer was not available to you
as the Intuition razors where already reduced.

We normally do only have one offer available per transaction, which maybe why
your voucher was declined. However I can certainly appreciate that we where
advertising an offer via our kiosk you would expect us to honour it. And I have
contacted our salesplan team to make them aware of your experience.

I am sincerely sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience that this matter
must have caused you. And I would very much like to send a £15.00 giftcard to
you. Please forward your address details to me quoting your reference number

I think the inconvenience was worth it!

Further to the above, I'd today received a giftcard from Boots - for £25!!!!!!!! Yay Boots - I love you!!
  • Did they ask you to send them the receipts?? I've e-mailed them asking as I had the same problem (cashier told me that I could have them half price or BOGOF - one one of the other :( ) but haven't heard anything back yet. I've kept the receipts and printout from the advantage card machine.
