I had to ring Boots today, as I'd ordered 3 4 2 plus 50% off vitamins. They didn't arrive, first time this has happened to me on a Boots delivery.
They guy I spoke to said they'd send another lot out, as a gesture (?).
If I didn't get them....................I didn't get them, so why is it goodwill??

Thanks for your comments. I felt sure I was right, but the queue was building up behind me, and I'm afraid I bottled it.
Mrs Jobsworth kept saying that although my printout was headed Buy one get one free, it also stated 'Please see individual price tickets for qualifying products' and also ' All offers are subject to availability and terms and conditions as specified on the individual price tickets.' Personally I think she was waffling, as i don't think she realised that these items were on BOGOF.
I do think Boots are being a bit crafty though. One day the items are half price, the next, bogof. But I wanted half price and BOGOF!!
I take on board what you say about Trading Standards, and will try again tomorrow. Will also e-mail Customer services and see what they have to say.
I've got a carrier bag of these blooming razors upstairs. Think I might have to open my own shop. At least my son would eat the Fitnesse cereal!!0 -
Sorry that this is off subject,,,but boots new offers of the week start tomorrow.....so will that be in 5mins then? Or in the morning.
Thanx0 -
I had an Ipod missing from my Boots delivery yesterday. Rest of the order was ok, and the box was delivered intact. I reported hte missing item right away.
Today, Boots have sent me a missing goods declaration form, which I have to return with a copy of 2 documents with my signature on. ie. passport and driving license. Anybody else had this..... and why do they need this? I was made to feel really guilty yesterday....and feel even worse today! :mad:0 -
i managed to find some intuition razors today with the £3 off vouchers on, and got a print out for BOGOF when i went to the till the SA charged for each on so i said no they are BOGOF and she replied you cant have both deals, i said both deals? you are selling them for £3.14 on the Ad. card machine said BOGOF, whats the problem, she disappeared for a minute to check !!! and came back and said , its ok you can have them for £3.14 like she was doing me a favour. I'm very doubtfull they can require you to provide such documents??? They must justify the intended use of such documents and information if you ask them the question.
A lot of companies request personal information as a deterrant to thieves (and a method of intimidation to deter such requests for refunds in some cases)but in many cases such requests are against the Data Protection Act.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
