Ah yes- the washing on the line. I recently had a load of washing hanging on the line for 4 weeks- so long that DH's top has been bleached by the sun. I haven't read all of this thread yet, but it is so good to know that all you OS ladies aren't perfect, lol
Ignore the name, by the way - I'm not as OS as it suggests most of the time, even though I do try (and it is getting better)
My confessions for the week -
I threw two full punnets of grapes out yesterday that had got lost under a pile of newspapers hubby had dumped on the end of the table. I last bought grapes over a week ago, so you can tell how long the papers have been there
My ironing has backed up so much, I am currently storing it in black bags (note the plural bags - there are five people in this house) in the conservatory, just taking the days clothes off the top each morning, and seriously considering paying an ironing service to sort it all out.
I just hoovered the bedroom for the first time this year  . Not as bad as it sounds though as most of the carpet has been kept clean by the piles of boxes (and ironing) that was covering it all, so there was only a path around the beds that really looked bad
The kids have a boxroom for a toy room (as their bedroom is also a box room, so nowhere in there for them all) and we haven't been able to walk across the floor for over a fortnight now - a stranger wouldn't be able to tell you the colour of the carpet (that will be sorted by the end of the week though - hopefully  )
I am also guilty of leaving washing out if it's been rained on, and it being there so long it bleaches. Not for a while though - I haven't used the line since September  I have an excuse for this one though - our lawn, that I have to walk across to get to the line as the path doesn't reach it, turns into a quagmire at the slightest drizzle of rain.
There - I feel so much better now I've told someone :rotfl:DFW Nerd no. 884 - Proud to [strike]be dealing with[/strike] have dealt with my debts0 -

Since when is this disgusting?
Serious question - the smell of things blown dry outdoors and fresh rain is one of those key endorphin triggers.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Hi
What heart warming stories!!!!! I feel sooooo much better now knowing that other peoples houses are not always 'perfect' as I imagined.
Not that mine is ever perfect but I try sometimes. I was feeling very glum today and resenting being a slave in the house and still getting nowhere, I currently feel impeding doom as I have visitors arriving tomorrow and we neither have the space or inclination to have them here and I cant be bothered to tidy up or do anything.
I think most of my 'sins' have been covered in the other posts!!!!!!!!!
I keep telling myself that I will be bothered when the warmer weather comes.
JoStarting with a clean slate.

I tidied. I can see the fish again. The rest of it I levered it into the cupboard. It's now being held shut by one of OH's fire extinguishers (oh why can't he collect something small?).
Fruit bowl is empty now... almost
A friend of mine has a horrible habit of writing "clean me" in any dust she finds. Last time she came over I just left a patch and wrote "don't you dare" in it. She's not done it since.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -

I agree with you! The rain has the added bonus of acting as a natural fabric softener. According to my Mum rainwater is dirtya view which is shared by my neighbours and DP. Apparently the clothes should be rewashed after being rained on and I am a dirty hussy for not doing so:rolleyes:
