It's the thought that counts right??? I've been thinking about sorting the washing out properly for weeks. And thinking about washing up all day.

    D*!m right it is!

(And if there's ANY justice in the world, all that serious thinking will have earned you some time from the washing-up fairy!)

love this thread. have been laughing so loud thought our neighbours would complain.

occasionally the washing can stay on the line for several days if it rains- well whats wrong with an extra rinse!!
we only ever buy cheap baking trays so that when they get too bad they just get binned.
just after clean sheeting the bed last week i found a tiny 'mark' on the bottom sheet which i think was a doggie skidmark!! rather than clean sheeting again i just sponged it clean - in my defense she is only a tiny chihuaha!!

ok i'll get my coat now - taxi !!

Pull out a ladder and spread a dustsheet over the floor, put some turps on a cloth in the middle of the dustsheet to create a decorating smell. Lounge around in scruffy clothes doing nothing much, keep a large paintbrush handy to grab at a moments notice if/when required, along with a hot and bothered stressed attitide.

Everyone will expect the house to look like it's been burgled.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:On days when the house is a real mess, I have been known to grab a coat on the way to answer the door in case its someone who expects to come in... Then I can say, Oh I am so sorry, I am just on my way out :D

I'm hiding upstairs, playing on the pc because I'm in the middle of having a new kitchen installed and the thick red dust is eveywhere. Well, people will expect it to be a mess won't they?
Wonder how long I can keep it going ...

I once left a saucepan of spag bol sauce on the stove and forgot about it...for over a week. We the went on holibobs for a week...when we got back, I lifted the lid to find a plethora of magots brewing. BLURCK...

I've not slept in my bed for over a year, choosing to sleep on the sofa as you can't even gain acess to my room its such a sty.

I'm sure I have more but can't think right now as that bottle of wine was winking at me

wow bluebunny i think you qualify to join lol, i've never heard of house rabbits tho

I moved house nearly 2 months ago, but most of my kids clothes are still in boxes, aswell as there drawers and wardrobe being full, as my new house is so small i have no room for all there clothes no and had to get rid of some furniture. This has resulted in the clothes i washed last week still folded and sitting on my sofa since the weekend, theres no point putting mine and hubbys away if theres is just gonna sit there right?

On that note the only reason all they clothes are washed is the good weather.

I now have a joint livingroom, kitchen, diningroom and hall however i havent mopped in about 3 weeks (because i can't find my mop to be fair) everyone walks in and out so it's really bad, i just noticed a big pile of taties under my table so guess i really will have to clean up now.

I gave my mum my old sofa, it was rattling so she opened it and gave me back a bag with 4 toothbrushes, about £2 in pennys, a camera, loads of makeup, unopened drumbstick lollys, about 20 pens and a lodgement book.

I used to keep my rabbit in my utilityroom as i was scared the cats would get it, or the cold, sadly she passed away and i found it so upsetting i will never have another, also my hubby prefers dogs.

*holds my hand up*. Hello, my name is SDG and I'm a very tired old styler. We got burgled last week and I had to tell the police that all the clutter on the floor and windowsill was mine and not made by the burglar. Add in all the boxes that came down from the attic to prove what things we had and the boxes the replacement stuff came in and the house looks like Argos's store room.
I cleared the top of the filing cabinets before Christmas and they still have presents sitting on top of them.
All the fruit bowls in the house are full of assorted carp. DS2 today that they are this house's equivalent of a man drawer. The problem is we have about 4 man drawers as well.
Thankfully I haven't had to deal with random piles of poo since I was trying to potty train DS1.
I like to think that my house is clean enough to be healthy and cluttered enough to be comfortable. DH says it's rebellion against my mom who is a neat freak.
