We have an entire bedroom which I can shut the door on for bits we haven't unpacked/need to sort out before they go anywhere...I can see them being there for some time as I'm due to give birth anytime now....

saying that, my lounge curtains are only wonderwebbed :rotfl:
I do have good intentions, I really do!!
S'just Real Life (shopping/chatting/eating) gets in the way of houseworky stuff. And as my mother said, if you've a clean toilet & bathroom and clean towels in there, and can make a cuppa in a clean cup without washing it up first, you're ok for when the vicar's wife calls.
No idea why she would call... or who she is :rotfl: but I can do all that:hello:

this thread is too funny, not come across it before, i dont feel half as bad now!
I dont have too many confessions now compared to a week ago as dh has just finished sorting my dd1 bedroom and the new baby's room after 12 mths of living here-not too bad i reckon!
However i do have some confessions that are sat on my mind grating on me cos i know they need doing but i just CBA
-in my bedroom is a suitcase full of clean clothes from when we got back from Cornwall in July:eek: i can not face going through it and instead continue tripping up over it. There are also other items of clean clothes that have been up there since before then that stay sat on the side cos i hate putting clean clothes away
-
-i have 3 weeks worth of dry clothes in bin bags in the utility room that need to be put away. I actually have no clean knickers in my drawer as of today, and still havent put them away. Hubby knows i have an aversion to doing this job and will generally do it, he says he will do it in the morning but only because there is no more room to put the wet clothes from the washer which have been sat in there all day. There is now a nice big pile of dirty washing on the floor outside the washer too.
-I haven't cleaned my kitchen in 2 days and it shows! Ive done pots cos of no choice but haven't done my usual daily evening clean of surfaces and bin etc. I don't know why, it takes minutes. I will do this tomorrow before we get food poisoning!
-I couldnt be bothered to rinse and clean the bath after dd bubble bath tonight. They are still there taunting me.
However, you can eat your dinner off my living room floor and toilet, and bathroom sink. Until tomorrow when dd gets up and there are toys, crumbs etc etc everywhere and the flooring is black again from mucky feet and mucky paws.
But tomorrow is another day!
My excuse-im 35 weeks pregnant and im tired:rotfl:0 -
My confession is that I've been to a Food Fair and spent what seems to be the gross yearly output of a developing country. Why DH decided we needed a pot of chilli lemon curd I don't know. Not to mention the 3kg of bramleys I brought that I'm going to have to deal with tomorrow. Then there was the jerk seasoning, caramel slices and sausages that I think DH had to promise his first born child and remorgage the house to pay for. I'm sure that many dedicated Old Stylers could feed a family of 10 for a month on what we spent today.0

Yesterday I was supposed to clean the whole house top to bottom, as we have visitors coming for the weekend and both work full time. The plan was to just tidy on Friday before they come, quick hoover and change of bed sheets.
Instead I spent half a day on the sofa watching House. I only cleaned the bathroom and hoovered downstairs. Decided not to change sheets this past weekend, as I will only have to change them again on Friday for visitors. Decided not to dust, as I will have to do it again on Friday to have shiny surfaces. Basicaly used any excuse in the book not to do anything!
Didn't even cook tonights dinner, though I know it tastes better the day after (casserole..) rather then when it's cooking for just 1 hour from scratch.. Didn't do any ironing, promising I will do it today (but now I also have to cook that dinner from scratch..:))0 -
I should be baking for the kids lunch boxes but really can't be bothered to move from the PC and catch up with the forum.0

I haven't put away the Christmas decs in the loft for nearly 2 years - the first year they were stacked in plastic boxes by the front door, and since Christmas 2010, they've been in boxes in the spare bedroom, it hardly seems worth putting them away again now as they'll be needed again in a couple of months....Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

similar here Raksha, our xmas decs came down and instead of trying to break my husband's neck by sending him into the loft (no ladder), we commandeered the top shelf of the child's built in warderobe.it stretches along one whole wall of her room so we use half of the lower bit for her stuff and half for storage lol.0

It's the thought that counts right??? I've been thinking about sorting the washing out properly for weeks. And thinking about washing up all day.We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.
