:) Today I had to deal with a customer who has been without a working central heating system for several weeks because the fitters due to install the brand new one won't go into his home due to the filth. Apparently, this particular firm are of pretty robust consitutions and do go into all sorts of mucky places, but if they refuse to enter, you've gone beyond the pale... eww.

:D I have a fruit bowl. It has 3 satsumas and a plant label in it....I feel so inadequate.

Bright-hair Your kitchen and spare bedroom look clean and tidy to me......you should see my bedroom floor.

:o Actually, I should see my bedroom floor, too. It's been a while but I'm sure it's down there somewhere........:rotfl:

I have found like minded peeps.
I suffer from CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome). And it doesn't help that I have friends who work full time in very demanding jobs who are totally houseproud and never seem to have CBA moments;)

oooh I love the CHAOS acronym:j:j:j:jI'm trying really hard to be good at the mo, even cleaned the oven cos I was in a rage today.Most/all of my cleaning gets done when i'm angry:o:o:o
I am not at all houseproud tho, and feel sorry for those who strive for perfection in every area of their lives:DI have reached it in some that can't be mentioned here, and am happy with that;):D

oh dear, I am now on a mission. House party on Saturday, and a friend who I feel wants to sleep in the spare bed, rather than on a mountain of clothes. Have gutted bathroom and kitchen. 2 bedrooms, another bathroom and living room to go. Oh and the ironing pile.....

Ewww indeed! What I'd be interested to know is how one would deal with relaying this information to the mucky tenant. Would you just come out with and say that until they'd sorted out their filthy muck they're not getting their nice, clean and new system?

I'm a Local Authority tenant and our tenancy agreement has a clause in it that states quite clearly that we must keep our homes clean and tidy. I have my fingers crossed that my LA's housework police squad has quite moderate standards...

For some strange reason, all my fruit is piled up on my cake stand, and the fruit bowl is full of buttons. Everyone in the house denies having put them there, so there must be a strange button-bearing fairy who obviously likes me, and has left a bowl full. Strange. Anyway, can I submit this for entry into the fruit bowl challenge?
