Disabled? What do you get free or lower price

What do you get for free or a lower price or grants because you are disabled. I'm mentally disabled - BiPolar(manic depressed).

I get...
- £90 off my British gas heating bill.
-Free cinema with the disabled pass - via http://www.ceacard.co.uk/
-Free travel pass - via the council
-No late fines & order books for free at library

You can get....
- T-mobile offer free directory enquiry for the blind or learning difficulties (I do not qualify for this)

Let us know what do you get for being disabled, so we can learn from each other.

Do you get the £90 off your gas bill with the essentials tariff? I signed up for that (hubby is disabled & we've got a prepayment meter) and they told me the meter would adjust automatically. I've just checked it and I'm still being charged the full rate so I'm not a happy bunny, I'll have to give them a ring on Tuesday.

  • Hi
I've developed a physical disability over the last 2 years and have no idea what you are talking about regarding money off from British Gas. My Gas and Electricity is with them and both are on pre-payment meters. Can you enlighten me what this discount is please?
I would love to cut my costs!

    Many thanks
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

  • I didn't know such a thing as a free cinema pass existed- thanks!

How do you get the discount for the gas? I have autism and in receipt of DLA.

  • Still useful, you could go with a friend and half the cost.
  • Too bad there wasn't such a thing as a free pint at your local card.

Disabled persons railcard. Costs £18 per year, but take one journey that would usually cost £54 and the card has paid for itself.
