No, the OP referred to missing three calls from 9015.

But, in any event, the OP has it from the horse's mouth (no offence, Natweststaffmember!) that the number's genuine, as well as from several Googlers, and you really ought to ring in case you are incurring costs by delaying.

i received a text from natwest saying "please call 08453039014 as soon as pssible quoting reference ******* . Alternatively please visit www.natwest.com/paybycard. it looked dodgy to me so i phoned my branch and the woman i spoke to knew nothing about it and there were no notices on my account that any action was required.

That is was the OP was referring to, the OP also stated that he/she had 3 calls from another number, which is the number you are referring to, but as i will state again, unless Natwest Collections states their business from word go, rather than a text with no meaning, then they are in breach of the OFT quidelines.

Received a call from a very rude man from this company. I had just got home from a day of chemotherapy treatment and when i told the man i wasn't up for discussing my finances, he became very rude and stand-offish. I asked him to reschedule the call and he said 'fine', then i think he was supposed to hang up. He obviously left his phone connected and i could hear him telling his mate next to him what an ar***ole he'd just been speaking to
    Caller ID: 08453039015
    Caller: Natwest

Got a message on an answering machine to call 0845 303 9015 and it was some kind of collection agency which I don't want anything to do with.
    Caller ID: 08453039015
    Caller: ?????

So as it is a collection agency they ARE in breach of OFT guidelines, and as such people should only respond to them if contacted in writing.

I can also confirm that number is correct for the collections centre of natwest, I used to work there so you can be rest assured its not a scam.
I work in a NatWest branch, any information I provide should be taken as general. See you local branch for advice, but any questions feel free to ask me.

So do you admit that using text methods is in breach of the OFT guidelines, which i have placed above

  • I cannot advise anymore because setmefree you are stirring things when I am 100% certain that 1. it is genuine, 2. that the text originates from NatWest.
    END OF.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
