Is this the stuff you got Jeannie?
Its got that cows udder stuff in it!!!

    Impressive ad.

Yep - got the healing foundation and the concealer - tho they sitting nice and pretty untouched.

Also got the Liz Earle today, which is also sitting pretty, not touched. I'm soooo bloody tired (sorry about the language) but not sure I can be ar*ed to go thru it all tonight - so may just stick to Johnsons baby wipes and the E45 cream for cleansing.

I will definitely go thru it all at the weekend and work out what my routines are for the week - I wish I had more time for ME!!!! (and energy)

NVQ2 beauty? I've not heard of that - but I may be being dense.........

    I think it is a qualification not a brand![/quote]
Oh - I think you are right! Therefore, was the poster being a tad sarcastic then, implying we are all a bit dense/gullible for purchasing quality products????

I'm too cream crackered to be offended... ;):D

I did not read it like that – I read it to mean that you need not pay a fortune for it because it is in common/basic brands.

    I'm still itching...

Since I've been talking about it more - soooo many people have said they itch/have ezcema/spot/dry patches/seb derm/itch here there and everywhere....

I know that stress aggravates it all BIG time for me - but there must be an underlying cause.

For months/weeks/years - I've thought its the water, its washing powder, it's make up, its cleanser, its what I eat, its lack of sleep, its what I drink, its fabric softener, its perfume, its deodorant, its its its its - well it can't be all of them, yet it seems so very common. And its men/guys/blokes too.

    Answers on a postcard to.........

Brings me back to Allantoin - the healing barrier stuff........

put it in moisturiser? put it in washing machine? put it in make up ( we know its in some), put it in water tank!!? put it under the pillow............

I found a moisturiser by Cuticura has glycerin and allantoin in.
It was in Lloyds pharmacy at 99p for a 100ml tube.
I use it as it seems to be the only thing so far that helps soften my hands in this cold weather.
Look for Cuticura dry skin moisture lotion, says its for hands, face and body.

Now that sounds like a good bargain! Is is very greasy? Its hard to get a good balance and would you happen to know if it would be good under mineral make up?

I'm about to try (at the weekend) Liz Earle products.

You can buy Allantoin from a site called Aromantic and am wondering about using it the bath perhaps 'raw' like a powder and also to rinse face in a similar way - but wouldn't have a clue re quantity and also if that is a good thing to do! Would like to think that if used in this way, it would create a good barrier from say, make up and or moisturiser that could irritate and chemicals in the air - in my case anything floating about in the workshop of the garage where I work! :D

    Also.....

Instead of treating the itch/spot/blemish/ezcema caused by elements etc., prevention of the above from happening in the first place!

I'm afraid i cant give an answer on the above as i dont wear foundation make up but i dont find it too greasy on my face or hands.

Just looked on the tube i have and they have a website www.cuticura.co.uk i think i will be paying it a visit.

Just had quick look on site they have a few different products that may help you and also a list of stockists.

  • Hi all!

I have this manky condition too. It is absolutely true that if you keep the scalp clear all else clears up too. I personally didn't find Nizoral as effective as I'd hoped but tried Oilatum. It doesn't seem to strip the hair but conditions it as you shampoo. It's parrafin based so I expect that accounts for the softness of my hair when I use it:D

I have been pretty much flake + itch free for over 12 months now and it's suprising how quickly one forgets the horror. Until you run out that is:rolleyes:

I have a normal to greasy scalp and although the Oilatum seems to condition my hair it doesn't make it any greasier and I still use regular conditioner. (my hair is almost waist length so dry at ends)

Oilatum is made in a bath formula so may be soothing for folk who find the itch spreads to other parts like shins.

I have regularly seen both the Oilatum shampoo and bath stuff in Home Bargains. It is that good I would pay full price rather than suffer the awful, self esteem destroying, horror of this condition.

Me, Dad an litl bro all got it, Mum, sis and other litl bro haven't. Heyho:rotfl:
