Evening MrsE Evening KM
Face feels great - as long as I stay away from a mirror I AM Cindy Crawford
I'm going to get the Oilatum bath stuff.
Suki said earlier (on another thread I think) that she was having a Nizoral face mask - due to a skin flare up. She's the expert on this KM.
I've used it twice now, my face got alot less lumpy and therefore make up looked better - but I looked a bit flushed...- like that but more red down the middle
Tonight I can feel the spotty things (about 5 now  ) under my skin, various areas, real nice..... getting ready to erupt, but they usually don't - never come to a head, stay around for a few weeks, big bumps - red and angry looking and gradually go down and what seems like years later, fade. Meanwhile, lots of others pop up to join them... its great....
I'm going on a bit here, about to shut up (for a bit), MrsE - you said something about your husband and diesel?? Could this be my problem too? As well as stress?Genie

Hi girls I have nothing to add re Allantoin but I just wanted to thank you for this thread esp jeannieblue for starting it.
For ages (prob 6 months) I've driven mad by a terribly itchy scalp and spent loads an all sorts of different shampoos and conditioners to try and stop it. I read this thread at the start of the week and realised  that it may be a bloomin fungal infection. Next morning I just popped a few drops of TeaTree oil in my latest shampoo (always have TeaTree in the house I get on fine with it and think it's brilliant stuff) mixed it into my shampoo and massaged it into my scalp.I left it on a wee minute before rinsing. Well would you bloomin believe it after a few washes it seems to be finally clearing up, still get a little itch now and again but I do think it's clearing up and I'm not desperate to scratch my head like some madwoman infected with nit's :j .
So a massive thankyou :beer:Booo!!!0 -

Tea tree aggravates me unfortunately, but I'm really glad its helped you and what you have done will no doubt help someone else. Guess this is the rippling affect working.
Talking of 'rippling' - nip on to Vent forum - Spirit group thread and add your 'bit' - its good to make a difference - you'll see what I mean.Genie

I don't know that a doctors ever told him that, its just something he says. He doesn't work in a garage:rolleyes: His contact is putting it in his car:rolleyes: So I'm not convinced hes right about it:rolleyes:
When I do my Liz Earle, if its the morning & I'm getting in the shower, BEFORE I get in the shower I squeeze one pump of C&P onto my hand & rub it well into my face & neck (well as far doen my face as one pump will take me:D ).
Then I leave it soak into my skin while I turn the shower on & jump in. Then I get the muslin cloth & do the removal bit in the shower. Then when I get out of the shower I do a splash of cold water.
At night I don't always shower, so if I'm not showering I just remove my eyemakeup, then squeeze one pump out, then leave it on my face while I run the tap to hot (takes a while) then I quarter fill with hot water (its a very huge basin, you every seen them ones you could bath a baby in:rolleyes: one of them:rotfl: ) & remove with muslin cloth. You could brush your teeth while you are allowing it to wear in.
I like you am pushed for time, so I do it in such a way that I rub the C&P well in then do something else for a minute or two while I'm letting it wear in.
Then I go into bedroom, give my face a couple of sprays with the spritzer of skin tonic, then I rub this in, because I NEVER spray it evenly.
Then I get dressed (or undressed) & then moisturise.
I do it so as I allow the products a moment or two each to work in, while doing something else, so as I'm not wasting time.
You will find a routine that suits you, it seems a lot of flannel to start, but my routine probably takes two minutes, but in 4 x 30 second segments.0 -
Diesel is deadly to the skin and you genie have it sticking to you daily - no wonder you are itchy and sore
Thanks for the concern girls, recovering from the op petty well, just struggling to get over the GA - I wont tell you how I came to land my car on top of a central reservation:eek:
If I can stay awake Im off to Boots for Nizarol and Oilatum. My ears are in a really bad way and the skin around my ears is really dreadful. The Nizoral "mask" has started the peel so hope it will be clear by next week.
From one of the other threads about natural skincare I ordered from Akamuti a replenishing rose face cream. Its stuffed full of rose oil and pomegranate oil and ylang ylang - all of which are supposed to be great for calming, balancing and rejuvenating skin. Its VERY rich. So much so I dont think this pot will be used before the use by date. Been using it for 3 nights (too rich for days) and still havent used up what was left on the lid from opening. Anyway face is way too much of a mess to know if its actually doing anything but it smells good and its a bit of a comforting ritual right now, I feel like Im feeding my skin comfort food
I also picked up from tesco their cleanse and polish (in their BN range) Smells delicious, feels stiffer then the liz earle but Im not going to change over to it right now while my face is so bad but hopefully its as good as cos its only around 4 quid for 150mls0 -

Glad to hear your feeling better, I didn't know you had an accident.
I've used that Tesco one.
I personally didn't find it as good.
BUT
I'm VERY swayed by advertising & packaging:rolleyes:
You think I would be old enough to know better:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
So I'm not sure if my not liking it as much was because LE is the more upmarket/deluxe/expensive version or if LE really is better.
I think it is......
But I would be interested to hear how you get on.0 -
Ok girls, its smile time....
I had a luxurious bath - which consisted of Sanex (great packaging MrsE:D ) and some drops of tea tree oil, thought would go with the idea from Violetta. After a little lounge, my back (worst area for my ezcema) went itch crazy - I leant forward for my back scrub thingy to help me shred the skin to pieces and spotted the TT oil - I put some on the brush scrubby thingy and attacked my back. I laid back in the water. No itch. Still no itch - its not felt this good for YEARS! Cheers Vi!
As I lie there a little bit longer I spot the back of the Nizoral bottle - and notice, in quite large letters, SHAKE THE BOTTLE BEFORE USING. Ahhh - could be why my scalp is still a little itchy...
I'm not always good at reading labels and even worse with handbooks. Picked a new phone up today and instead of being excited - am dreading the hassle of learning how to use it. Still - its white and will be able to find it in handbag easily.
Meanwhile - didn't use the elemental beauty concealer but buffed a light layer of the eb healing foundation over face very quickly. Goes a very very long way I must say - easy to over do it. So far - NO ITCH!!!!
You can still see some spotty bits thru it but I don't wanna over do it and put alot on today. Easy does it - I'm trying to be patient....
My bathroom looks a little different, now the lovely Liz Earle next to Nizoral, Sanex and Tea Tree Oil.... think may put the latter in the cupboard...Genie

So glad you are finding products that are helping Genie
Ok, so in case you havent spent enough money this week - I have news
NIZORAL COMES IN A CREAM FOR THE BODY
Buts its prescription only
The pharmacist in Boots helped me with that and said as long as I can get one prescription for it lodged, they would forever be able to get me it
But then this is N. Ireland where its a law unto themselves and you dont even need to see a GP to get a script , you just tell the receptionist what you want.
But on the money saving front ... KETOPINE 100mls for 7.99 is the same stuff at Nizoral which was 6.99 for 60mls. Ketopine may be branded under the Boots label made by Pinewood Healthcare in Clonmel0
