I'm a hanky user too, and a napkin user. I use a clean hanky each day cos I have catarrah probs. shove them in with the whites on a hot wash, peg em out in the sun and iron a couple of em together. Defo better for my snozzle than tissues.

The napkins I get from charity shops, give em a hot wash and bobs your uncle. Saves money so DH is happy.

  • Aye, I'm a cotton hanky user as well. I pick them up in charity shops for pennies usually. Much nicer on the neb when we've got colds. I also use napkins-also from charity shops, and have at times (when one of my daughters had bad hay-fever) made extra soft ones out of a flanelette sheet.
I don't iron them though... I maintain all ironing is bad for the environment, it's my story and I'm sticking to it ;)
