I did enough to bring my up to £1.50 but only received replies for eight.
  • All fingers crossed for tomorrow!

Anyone with experience with WritersShare before it went down ... do you think we could expect more acception/rejection e-mails tomorrow or perhaps even payment?

Anywho, it's still a great site and I think we will be paid soon enough, perhaps it may have struglled this first week to get to terms with the system again and this coming week will be a lot smoother!

I think you may be right, probably totally underestimated the interest, also Paypal can be a pain.

paypal when making bulk payments can apparently take 10 days to clear according to quidco. I know its a diffrent site but i presume the theory is the same regarding bulk payments.

Still no emails here one way or another. I did 10 all on the 1st day it came up so now i'm waiting. MY email server is being a little tempremental i think because i haven't been receiving many emails at all.

That's odd, I was always told you can not make bulk payments with paypal.

Every site I have queried payments with has said the payments are late because they can't make bulk payments via paypal and have to do them one at a time.

    Hi Sue

Please don't think I am getting at your, or your opinions, I'm not I'm just trying to work out the true situation.

    Hi :)

    Not at all Geordie,

First I would like to say I'm still waiting for my confirmations from last week as well  so before anyone starts getting a little paranoid no I do NOT work for them lol ;)

The only answer I have for you Geordie is I can say for sure is they do build websites, with integrated blogs. I think this is what they do with our comments more so than actually sell them to web site owners etc. but I guess they could do that as well  No for sure not all our comments are edited; I'll send you a pm - maybe you will see what I mean from that :)

    Kind regards

    Sue
  • Yes, if I am correct there are limitations with the Paypal mass payment system.

I believe that each payment can only be a maximum of £0.50 and even then the sender must pay a 2% fee on it.

Got my fingers crossed today to recieve a few acceptance e-mails.

They haven't got time to tell you if you are going to be paid, nor to pay you when they say you will. Do you really think they have time to edit our comments and post the in other blogs they have created for customers?

Geordie's right, though, isn't he? Although they seem to have good intentions, it is a bit of a shambles. I'm owed for one comment way back.. and then I've yet to hear whether the 11 or 12 I wrote recently have been accepted, so they're so far behind with the admin.

the writersshare site now shows how many comments have been left per topic. *i think*. everyone should check it out.

That to me was sufficient affirmation that it is at least being worked on - but my gut feeling is that there is a "learning curve" in all of this, not just for us as individuals, but for them as well - and we are all only at the start of a system still under test - and at the moment the curve is steep, and the system under stress. But I am relatively sure there is a demand for these comments, to keep a website at or near the top of search engine stats - if that is the case, then we are part of the supply chain to meet that constant demand - so maybe we just have to be patient.

And hey - they say that patience is a virtue ... lol, just think how virtuous we may all eventually become. ;)
