Hi all I'm new to the site, but not new to writers share, been writing for them more or less since day one,
    Regards Sue

Hi sue, warm welcome to the site.

Tell me, how did you manage to stumble on writersshare if youve been using it from the start. I find that when I google things like getting paid to write articles writersshare isnt exactly easy to find unless you know its there.

Do you perhaps work for writersshare/digivate perhaps. If not then I apologies prefusely to you and your family and all your relations.

But if you do work for them, then honey its ok to say, none of us will have a problem with that.

Lots of small companies have representatives on here to answer peoples questions and generally get a feel for how their site is perceived.

If you do work for them, which is just a guess on my part from your informative post, then we would love to have you on board as our representative between us and the company.

All of us here, love making and saving money and writersshare is pretty much top of our list. We know that it is genuine and because its so new, we know that we have to be patient and wait for payments & the systems to be updated.

    Best Regards
    Andy

Ps. Can i have a £1 for this post ?

What we, or some of us at least, want to know is, is digivate selling our comments direct to the customer who uses the comments, or is it selling them to another site which then sells them to the customer/end user.

The answer is there on the Digivate website if you look for it.

I sell to them and they have a use for my comments. I will never discuss their business in a public forum. It is not advisable to do so if you want a good relationship with a company that pays for your work.
I love finding more ways of making money that cost me little or nothing

Nope, it is not there. The nearest is them saying they write blogs for fashion sites etc. That doesn't answer the question of WHO they sell the comments to. I want to know who the buyers are, not which industry they are in.

True, but if you don't care about them, or the money then it doesn't matter.

OK, the site pays and is legit, but it is possible that the more commenter's it gets the more posts will be rejected. It can't keep paying for all comments forever, sooner or later it will reach the limit of it's customers. In 3 months time we could be posting that the site insn't worth bothering with as it rejects most of the posts.

Also there are sites that pay between $5 and $20 for a 50 word post, in your own blog. Digivate only pay $2 or $3 per 150 word post, and you are not guaranteed to get paid for every post.

I don't mind if people don't want to discuss it in an open forum, I respect their choice. But you have to admit that it's not the best payer around.

Just visited the site and it now says

All topics will be closed for a while!

    May 9, 2008

Dear everbody - we are going to shut down all the topics very soon while we start approving comments and make today’s payment. We’ll be back as soon as we cn.
PS We know how majorly annoying it is when you enter a comment and then get a message saying ‘Topic now closed.’ It’s a nasty bug and we will fix it as soon as the tech team have come up with their usual excellent solution. Apologies to all who have experienced this.
    Have good weekends!

    LOL - ;)

OK In answer to some questions asked,

    Do I work for Digivate?
No - Although if they offered me a job I wouldn't refuse ;)

How did I stumble upon Writers Share?
Well I have written a couple of articles and created a couple of web sites & blogs, and a friend of mine told me about Writers Share.

Where do our comments go after Digivate?
Well that would of course depend on the comment :) Digivate.com offer a full range of services to tailor every need, so my understanding is our comments are not re-sold in the dry form in which we comment, they for instance will just take maybe a paragraph of a few different comments to create a brand new Ecommerce, or blog site. Alternatively, some of our comments maybe converted straight into tags in order to bump new sites up in the search engines. Even some of them maybe used for a pay per click promotions. Remember especially for some Ecommerce sites, they make money continually not only on the design of the site but also every month the site is up and running. With continual content change so is the need for fresh information.

Yes I do understand the concern regarding the more comments, less and less will be accepted, and yes this is right, but only if their business slows down, at the moment from what I can tell they do web sites and blogs for all over the world. That’s a lot of comments they need for one Ecommerce or one blog site J so fingers crossed they will be here for a while at least.

    Kind Regards

    Sue

P.S I’m still waiting on confirmation to my posts this week too!

    Hi Sue

Please don't think I am getting at your, or your opinions, I'm not I'm just trying to work out the true situation.

I agree that we should use the site while we can, and hope it lasts for a long time.

On the other hand there are still some things to consider.

Every web design site on the web makes exaggerated claims. They do one tiny thing for a well known company then claim that company is a client.

They can't be that good as their site fell apart when it got a few users from here. As you have said yourself, it had rogue links in it that should not have been their. Not to mention things like the contact us page never working. They may claim to be web designers, but their own web site was a shambles.

They obviously don't have time to send emails letting us know if our comments have been accepted or not. All blogs have the ability to send an email to the commenter with just one click of the button. The emails can be predefined so you don't have to write an email each time. Yet they don't have time to click the button! Some blog software can be set to send email automatically when a comment is accepted or rejected.

Payments, last week they did a payment run on Friday but were still paying people the following Tuesday, maybe even later!

They haven't got time to tell you if you are going to be paid, nor to pay you when they say you will. Do you really think they have time to edit our comments and post the in other blogs they have created for customers?

You say the business will grow and they will get more customers, so need more comments. But it's clear to me they can't cope with the business they have now.

The people who post the comments are getting restless, they don't know if they are going to get paid, or when. What if the customers are the same, not knowing if or when they are going to get the blog posts delivered?

Also there is the fact that the number of commenter's will grow much faster than the number of customers. It's a fact that it is far easier to buy a comment from an individual than it is to sell that comment to a company.

As I have said before, I think the site is honest and legit, and that we should "make hay while the sun shines". But I do think it will become a victim of it's own success. I've seen other sites go the same way, they start off great and everyone is talking about them, then it all falls apart and you never hear of them again.
