My question is (again), why were ALL my outstanding comments rejected, when they were ALL original and over the minimum word count, and when I had NO comments rejected before the site went down?

yep another rejection email here which i am not happy about. It was over 150 words long and certainly all my own words. I am currently a nursing student and copying work gets me thrown off the course! I am quite angry i mean it was only £1 but its still £1 im entitled to!

That's where my frustration is coming from too. Of the previous batch of comments I submitted, all of them were accepted, so my writing obviously isn't of terrible quality, it was all spell-checked and word-counted, not in the slightest bit offensive, and to suggest that it may have been plagiarised is just hugely insulting.

Hello WS, I hope you will answer my above question.

I also hope you understand why people are so irate. We have had one delay after another, yet we have stuck with WS waiting for all to be resolved, only for some of us (including me) to have all remaining comments rejected.

Obviously you are not obliged to accept any comment, and I can appreciate that the site was overwhelmed by the response, but if my comments are going to be rejected for no apparent reason, it doesn't encourage me to contribute further.

    Hi Chollita,

Firstly thanks for contributing to Writers:Share. Can you PM me your email or your name and I will take a look under the bonnet.

  • WS prehaps you would like to explain your criteria as this is the first lot of comments i have had rejected and your reasons for rejecting are not true and quite honetly insulting.

Judging by your response, it could be a system error, perhaps marking original content as copies.

Either way, I will look into it. Can you PM me your name or email address please?

    Thanks

I did have a lot of problems submitting comments, and several took many attempts to go through - however, I haven't recieved any acceptances, which it seems would follow if that was the case?

Anyway, I just did pm you, thank you.

    1. Could you give us the name of the company behind Writers Share? Matthew Roberts did tell me that it is no secret but I did not quite catch the company name he gave me.

    2. When do you epxect the website to be up and running with automated payments and automated plagiarism checking?

    3. How do you anticipate the growth of Writers:Share over the next year?

    4. For what purpose are comments used?

    5. Are we likely to see our comments appearing in a national newspaper as the work of some freelance reporter?

    6. Will writers be able to create password-protected accounts for themselves on the website?

    7. Will the terms and conditions of use be expanded?

    8. Do you expect some people could actually make a living by contributing to your site?

    9. Will writers be given reasons for rejections of comments?

Do you want all of us who seem to have received blanket rejection emails to PM you? (I'm guessing it will be quite a few!)

The company name is Digivate, we are based in London.

    2. When do you expect the website to be up and running with automated payments and automated plagiarism checking?

The system has been done, we are in testing at the moment and sorting out bugs.

Our next test is next Tuesday, and if things go well, everything will be ready to go then.

    3. How do you anticipate the growth of Writers:Share over the next year?

Our goal is to grow W:S steadily over time. Which may mean we control the

    4. For what purpose are comments used?

To contribute to other websites around a specific niche.

    5. Are we likely to see our comments appearing in a national newspaper as the work of some freelance reporter?

    Never.

    6. Will writers be able to create password-protected accounts for themselves on the website?

Thank you. I will take that suggestion into consideration for the next update.

    7. Will the terms and conditions of use be expanded?

Yes. First things first, make sure the comment handling system is automated.

    8. Do you expect some people could actually make a living by contributing to your site?

No. W:S is only here as a supplement, kind of like a cool thing to do for a hour or two a day. We prefer to have fresh comments rather than someone doing this full time.

    9. Will writers be given reasons for rejections of comments?

Yes. I will use some case studies today to give examples of rejected comments and exact reasons why.
