I think we've shown quite enough patience. This has degenerated into a sorry mess and WS need to get their act together FAST.0

Dont get me wrong, you all have entitlement to feel aggrieved if you havent received payment that due. But I cant see why others have a problem with the site not being up, yes it means we cant earn a bit of extra cash.
Also, how many things do you think will get accepted if you complain too loudly?0 -
We're concerned by the lack of information, the succession of technical problems, the length of time it is taking to sort out ...
And how would they know who we are???0 -

As I said, the concern should only really be for people that are due payment, that doesnt seem the case here. This is the point, the last time they were bugged into stating when it would be back up and running, it clearly wasnt capable, so they appear even more incompetent.
Its why many companies wont say when something is expected back up.
I can understand the frustration, I'm waiting for the bloody site toobut I'm not due a payment, so I refuse to get to worked up.
When I said about knowing who you are, I meant those people that are sending emails.0 -
ah right, so they don't know who I am
It really is about time that they sorted things out though.0 -

Hi Folks,
actually shawry99, I think loads of us are due payment. I'm owed £14 for starters.
I still think we'll get paid but once that has happened I'm planning to abandon W:S anyway, and put my writing 'talent' to use elsewhere. I just don't have faith in them any more and I value my time too much. We're all industrious, focused people on here, maybe opportunistic (not that that's a bad thing, we're probably budding entrepreneurs) but we're not wasteful when it comes to time and money (or not now the bailiffs are knocking, anyway!;))Gala bingo wins £70!!! mystery shopping earnings: £0

With the greatest of respect, I don't think anyone is getting 'worked up' at all. In fact, I think we've all been quite calm considering the work we've done for this company. Even those of us who are waiting for acceptances or rejections have a vested interest in the way in which Writers:Share conduct their professional relationships. What if we are the only people who write well enough to be accepted? How do Writers:Share know we're not? What would happen if we withdrew our work from their submission process?
Don't forget that we are writing comments and then giving up all rights to those comments. We are, as a matter of fact, selling our talents off very cheaply to these people in order to make a little money for ourselves. I think they need to find the professional !!!!!! to treat us with a little more respect than they are at present. After all, they wouldn't have the business without the writers.
Having already worked behind the scenes of a magazine website, I do understand how impossible it is to answer each and every individual query when something goes wrong with the site or restructuring is in progress -- it's hard. But it's really very easy to post up statements on the front page or in other 'Clear View' places in order to keep people up to date.
That magazine was a fiction mag, and we knew all too well that it would not exist without its writers. Writers = Us -- accepted work or not.0 -
Sorry, i didnt mean to cause offence to anyone, it was more seeing a lot of people getting worked up, its not good for peoples health, and generally its over something that they cant actually influence, its the only reason I meantioned it.
Again, apologies0
