Another clueless one last night - £113,500 on what? I tried to turn the debate away from university but last night we had.....a 36 year old graduate!!!! Excellent stuff!

I have to say that the 7 days on this one didn't do much at all, nothing really appeared to be attempted, just some half-hearted half attempts at getting him to see sense.

Was it just me who thought one of this guys friends in the so called music business looked like he was 'on a high' so to speak?

The guy who the programme was about had a degree in financial management.

I think it's time for Round 2 on the university debate.

    Ding ding.

Wouldn't say that. The guy was clearly a layabout who'd never grown up and never been forced to by his doting parents. Stands to reason someone like that - and keep in mind he was at university 18 years ago, before the days of 50% of kids going to university, so he can't exactly be thick - went to university/poly because it was the path that least involved him getting off his backside.

I knew quite a few people like that from my old university days, the only difference being that few lasted the course and most dropped out before getting a degree. However, to tar everyone with a degree with the same brush is just plain daft. There's equally plenty of people who don't go to university who also spend their lives on their backs watching Trisha....it doesn't mean that everyone without a degree is lazy either.
I really must stop loafing and get back to work...

Ok guys, I quite like a debate, but not one that goes around in circles. Please can we now leave the University debate and move on, so that I do not have to resort to locking the thread?
    Thanks for your co-operation
