  • How could I not return when you lot are so nice :D

Kizzy, how on earth did you get rid of your debt so quickly - well done!

Will do my signature later as I know to the penny what I owe

Had a cheap day so far, DH is busy in the garden so have pottered around in the house. Took the kids for a walk which has left DS crashed out on the settee. We are out later on something we cannot miss (would explain all but I am in disguise remember :rotfl: ) but we have a free babysitter and neither of us are drinking alcohol, so should be fairly cheap.

More importantly cards are still in the freezer :j :j and £9 spent today.

Hi Jelly babies, I've just read your thread and wanted to say well done for picking yourself back up and getting stuck in. I wouldn't "out" anyone that I'd recognised on here in real life even if I hugely disliked them so find it amazing that someone you thought of as a friend treated you so badly. I think she's in the minority though so welcome back and I'll look forward to seeing your progress! x

  • Happy Easter Hypno :D

Up bright and early before the kids, got to take DS out shortly and then DD needs a pressie for a party, BUT I am thinking cheap book from Tescos will suffice.

Supposed to be running this morning but weather is completely pants so will go tomorrow instead HAVE TO, HAVE TO, HAVE TO

Invited up to a friend's house tonight for a curry but have turned them down, saying we are tired and are having a "tight" month. Would have like a NSD today but kids and OH seem to have eaten loads over last few days so to compromise I'm going to bake with the kids, just need to get some butter etc in and make some easter biscuits. Hopefully this will still be very cheap weekend :D

Skint spice - thank you for your message, I do hope my "friend" is in the minority.

go on... a nice run will set you up for a good day, gives you chance to focus and plan how to spend as little as possible (or is that just me lol :o )

i went on my first mountain bike of the summer yesterday (summer? well i can dream  ). It was ace, really loved it.

I am sure your 'friend' is in the minority. at them for being so mean - probably jealous that you are trying to sort your life out and have more guts and courage than they ever will. Don't let them get you down or suceed in sabotaging your plans.
  • Hi FMOW - I did end up running yesterday and still in agony from it today but cleared the cobwebs. I wanted to get the kids out on their bikes this morning but we woke up to loads of snow instead :D

Spent more than I wanted into Tescos yesterday, just needed to pop in for some essentials but I did limit DD to £5 for her friend's present and we found a good book on offer. Also ended up going to friends for curry, economised we took rice maker and made poppadoms and just had to pay for our curries which wasn't much. They came with free beers as well, so we felt good!

Invited out tonight, have completely refused, can't get a babysitter and can't afford it - first time in ages I used those words to someone "can't afford it".

Looks like a spend free day today, lamb cooking slowly in the slow cooker, veg all ready and house has been cleaned to within an inch of its life. Just going to check online banking then I can chill for a bit :D
