Morning all
Hugs to Smoky and the children hope that you are all ok
Well freezing here in Essex was supposed to go to a meeting but cant be bothered as today is my only full day off. I am self employed so it is not mandatory.
Am off to put the plaques back on my dads and grandparents plots at the church as they kept being broken (they are the plastic ones where the ashes are) so DH has put a metal stake on them so hopefuly this will stop this from happening again .
TD &WM are both on will finish the ironing whilst watching Jeremy Kyle (my mum says all his guests are a bit touched to want to air their dirty linen in public)
Off to see the Sugar Babes tomorrow with DD and her friend as they managed to get free tickets near the front I will be in the bar with the other mum as they could only get 2
Hope you all have a good day0 -
Morning all, ((((smokey))) thinking of you
Been a rough couple of days here, worked 16 hrs two days running and I'm still behind. My skin has flared up something chronic as we moved a couple of heavy bits of equipment yesteday and something acidic sprayed out of one of them as we did so. Plus the bank failed to stop a standing order I asked them to cancel and so I spent yesterday afternoon transferring money from place to place to cover the shortfall. But it's all calm now... hopefully, although I will have to spend the morning cleaning a vaccuum pump because some silly fool left it running all night and it has sprayed oil all over the lab.
OH cooked last night and made cauliflower cheese, which was sweet of him. I have to go to the market today as we are out of fruit and veg again. I haven't had any time to do anything over the past few days at home and it looks like a bomb site. Where does all the laundry come from?!??!
Do chocolate raisins count as one of my five a day? Please say yes...
Have a good day all, cel x
Of course! Raisins count as fruit and chocolate is made from beans, so you can count that as a vegetable!"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Smokey - thinking of you.
Welll, so far this morning I have put the washing out, put another load on, done the washing up and put the bin out.OH has gone away to Surrey overnight, so I have a whole day to myself (and no work!!)
I am just about to start the 10 foot pile of ironing we have, and I will sort the recycling out ready to go out later. I will have a shower later as well, then clean the bathroom.
Hope you all have a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
(((Smokey)))
Washing is in the machine and filled the slow cooker with sweet potato, red and yellow peppers, onions, garlic and stock.
Fingers crossed it will make a nice soup later if I can find my blender (hand held) which has been "tidied" for me!
Having a pot of tea while I browse on here.
Mentioned to DH that it did not matter if it took over a year to sell our house as long as we got what we wanted when we move.
Maybe Murphy's law will operate and things will get moving.
Will go out later and see if I can get a pretty shade of wool for a square for smokey (blue, green or lilac) as the red I bought does not feel appropriate.
DD(22) comes home for five days tomorrow so we have six of us at home again!:j :j

Have you had a look on Freecycle for a breadmaker? If one is not advertised then you can post "wanted".
I have a Morphy Richards and have made bread rolls, pizza, cake and jam in mine - but not at the same time.;)"This site is addictive!"

for those that recycle at tesco (to get the points) our recycle centre has changed you cant use your card any more it will only take the little key fob. it used to have a big swipe strip along the front a coulpe of weeks ago it changed to the keyfob only. cant work out why they've done it but hopefully it will save anyone getting irritated when they arrive with all their recycling and spend 10 minutes trying to work out why they cant scan their card.
I prefer to taek it down there now and get a few points for it rather than just give it to the council - hubby is convinced it all goes in the same landfill somewhere anyway:eek:SPC~12 ot 124

big hugs to smokey and family in this difficult time
Off w*rk to day - yay - with an ear infection - boo. My dd11 gets loads of ear infections and hardly notices them - I was sent home from w*rk yesterday cos I was sobbing at my desk with the pain - what a baby! Full of painkillers at the moment so am feeling ok. Will whizz around in a bit and try to get as much done as possible - there is always about an hour between the painkiller running out and it being time for another. Willalso try to phone the dr in an attempt to wring an appointment out of the receptionist in the tiny window of opportunity that our surgery offers for such things.
Will also look for some suitable yarn for a square - so many projects so little time - sigh
have a good day all
stefxxxxxxxI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Morning all.
Belated Birthday wishes to VickiA and Chocolate Orange. Hope you had good days yesterday.
Smoky, I hope you managed some sleep and are getting help with all the practical things you need as well as the emotional. x
Emma, I hope you can find a new job ,though you shouldn't have to. x
I may as well not have gone to bed. Dtwin2 was up twice with bad dreams before 1am. I managed to get to sleep around 2 but was woken by the cat tearing up and down the stairs. She had decided to bring a mouse in to play.
I screamed, she dropped mouse and I still can't find it so all furniture is pulled out and the cat is frantic. Stayed up for a while then tried to sleep again but 4am heard an almighty crash from downstairs. Cue both girls awake and screaming. I couldn't wake OH who had had a few before bed and was out for the count so I tiptoed down expecting to be greeted by either mouse carnage or a burgler only to find that one of my old signs had fallen off the wall, knocked down and smashed all my vintage glass bottles and broken a bowl on the kitchen surface.
Oh well. I can always sleep tonight.
Ironing and bathroom cleaning today and chicken curry in the SC for tea.
Bye for now.
Haribo x0 -
aw haribo sorry to hear your vintage bottles all brokeSPC~12 ot 124

Morning All
(((Smokey & family)))
Haribo - sounds like you have the gremlins in.
Lovely sunny day here in Essex, best to appreciate from behind glass though - its freezing out there, heard on the radio it was snowing not far from here.
Am sooo tired as had two late nights so an early one needed tonight.
Nice day today though - off to lunch with sister as its my birthday tomorrow, going to have a look in Dorothy Perkins as well as they kindly sent me a £5 voucher, also need to pick up kids easter eggs as tesco had none last night.
Should really be hoovering & ironing but hopefully OH will be home early and able to get the hoovering done. Just need to finish off the meatballs that I am making for tea tonight then will be off out.
Have a great day.0
