Good morning everyone!
Well! So much to do today, as I'm heading off to work at the Youth Music Festival tomorrow. Will be away a week. DH is used to me being away at Easter as it's something I do every year, as long as he knows where his next meal is he's fine. DD will look after him until Tuesday, when she goes away and ds is away on a canal boat with friends for the whole of Easter.
Anyway, that leaves me with a week staying in the Holiday Inn, in a room on my own, with someone else to make the bed and tidy the bathroom... not that I make much of a mess. Lots of good music to listen to and seeing friends I have made over the years at this event.
However! It leaves today rather packed full! DH has left me the job of taking his car to have a new tyre and I have to collect clothes for ds from Next (where does one find clothes for the teenage boy, who is petit, who also is rather conservative in nature and doesn't want his pants/!!!!! hanging out of his trousers?)
Can't go out yet as I'm expecting a special delivery parcel here, dd's phone is in a state of collapse.
WM is on, BM shortly (need to leave stash in freezer!). Hmm what else?
back later, have a good day all, or at least as good as it can be."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

(((Hugs))) Smokey and lo's
It is cold here but the sun is shining so will take the puppy out in a little while. Toddler group today at our church and then will be taking dh for physio on his face, something to do with electrodes i think! hope it works, he also now has steroids to take so hopefully things will improve for him soon.
Finished a 2nd square last night and started another and have started a tally in my signature just to encourage us. How many do we need to make a blanket I wonder?
Right off to make some porridge and warm up
take care

Have an exam this afternoon - nothing very exciting, but it's the start of 5 weeks of, to quote DH 'you being a bit weird'!!!!
Booked our trip to the lakes in May yesterday, so excited about that. We are self-catering (very OS) so planning all the lovely cakes and bakes I can make and take with us. So far going to make lemon drizzle cake, choc brownies, cheese cake and hobnobs. thought i might also take some pastry and apples and make a simple tart for one night aswell.
Also excited about getting knitting again - have some wool winging it's way as we speak and hopefully will arrive today so I can start at the weekend
Hope everyone has a great day
see you all later xr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -

Good Morning All
Its a beautiful sunny morning here. Still nippy. Lets hope it continues for the weekend.
Hester - I bet the marbles went down a treat on the radio :rotfl:
(((hugs))) to smokey!
scuzz - well done to no shopping for the last 3 weeks! Im only buying main essentials, and trying to use up the cupboard stuff.
Atmosphere at work is still the same! Worse y-day, so dreading to day. Ive been monitoring the calls and it just goes to show who is actually doing the work in that place - ME! Ive seen a job advertised for the local County Council, admin assistance for a special needs learning centre. So I may apply for that this morning. It sounds good, and working through term time & school hours. I wont leave untill I can walk into another job!
Chicken Tikka curry for dinner later with naan bread!
Then I will get my old phone sorted out ready to list on ebay!
Have a nice day
Love Emma xxx

Morning all, ((((smokey))) thinking of you
Been a rough couple of days here, worked 16 hrs two days running and I'm still behind. My skin has flared up something chronic as we moved a couple of heavy bits of equipment yesteday and something acidic sprayed out of one of them as we did so. Plus the bank failed to stop a standing order I asked them to cancel and so I spent yesterday afternoon transferring money from place to place to cover the shortfall. But it's all calm now... hopefully, although I will have to spend the morning cleaning a vaccuum pump because some silly fool left it running all night and it has sprayed oil all over the lab.
OH cooked last night and made cauliflower cheese, which was sweet of him. I have to go to the market today as we are out of fruit and veg again. I haven't had any time to do anything over the past few days at home and it looks like a bomb site. Where does all the laundry come from?!??!
Do chocolate raisins count as one of my five a day? Please say yes...
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
