Ebico, does anyone know their new prices?
Options
As title, I'm wanting to switch to them but am still waiting to hear of their new prices. Every e-mail I have sent them has been answered very quickly, unlike BG who haven't answered one, but each time that I have asked Ebico about their prices they come back with "we are not reviewing our prices at this time".

They and partner Southern Energy must be raking in the customers.
Don't quite understand Martin's suggestion to switch to second on the list.0 -
Their new prices are the same as their old prices, i.e. they have not increased the price, and according to the very nice lady i spoke to a couple of weeks ago, it is unlikely that they will increase their prices at this moment in time.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

dori2o, I've read that they often wait until the end of March, beginning of April before increasing prices as that way their customers don't get slammed with higher prices on their winter bills, which is an extremely nice thing to do in this World of capitalist companies. The only thing that worries me a little is that they haven't increased their prices since 2005 so I'm afraid that their next rise might be a big one.Live long and prosper0

A pal rang Ebico yesterday and got the admission that they were reviewing their prices "in the Spring" but they have no detail as yet.
I have read somewhere that Ebico have said they will hold their prices until British Summer Time starts. So if that is so, April 1st seems a good bet.0 -
Cheers Cardew, I might as well hang on until then.Live long and prosper0

I can`t see Ebico raising their prices until at least Sept.
Even then they `ll be a lot less than British Gas who are soon to raise prices yet again.0 -

They actually increased their prices in September 2006 I believe, they used to reduce/increase annually in September, in September 2007 we were due a decrease but shortly before that it was decided that they should align their prices with Southern."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
Thanks all, decision made, I'll be switching to them as soon as I get a mo'.
Is switching online a good way to go (via their website I mean) or would I be better ringing them up in your folks' opinion?Live long and prosper0 -

I switched online and it took about six weeks from start to finish.
Been with them now for 20 months and never regretted the move.
Simple straight forward billing, which you pay after usage, managed by Southern Eletric.
One price for gas and one price for electricity (also econ7,if needed).
No complicated tariffs or so-called discounts, massive monthly DD`s like BG impose to bambozzle everyone.
