Hayley's Debt Free by Dec 08 Diary

morning hayley,
I agree with you on this one.
It is the way life usually goes when people are young they travel spend loads of money on drinking, clubing, cosmetics, mags etc (there is a lot of research into it) then as they get older they get priorities! scary stuff like relationships, morgages and children then as the prorities and the amount of free time changes they spend differently. you have done well to realise your debt early on in life and work towards clearing it.
Make the most of life while you can as you get older those thing slip out from you reach. i am 28 and a single mum to a 6 year old i haven't bought a mag for over a year because i don't get time to read them and some holiday destinations are unrealistic for us so do it while you can without increasing your debt because when you have a lot of other commitments you might not be able to do what you wanted to.
As for the reality check i don't think you need one. You know how much you owe and you know how you are going to repay it so thats fine!
good luck with all your plans and keep your chin up. Jen xxx:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j

Thanks Jen xxx
I have just ordered a £10 boots voucher from Pigsbak. I only needed a few more points to order another voucher, but that will take forever to get the way they are at the mo. I hope my boots voucher comes before the 22nd October, i really want to use it at my boots Christmas event on the 23rd.
I am upto £18 on dooyoo now, yay!!! Hopefully be upto £20 by the weekend. So that will work out £20 in one week. If i can do that every week it would be fab, but its getting hard work writing reviews, i only enjoy reading other peoples reviews. xx

Hi Jo3y83 - thank you for your kind comments. xx
Hi Maria, I wish pigsback would start up again with the 5p click. I looked in my piggy account and i last received a 5p click in the middle of September, its been weeks since i had one. I'm having to order bits thru Pigsback just to get the extra points so i can get a voucher. I'm not ordering unneccessary bit though, few bits for people for Crimbo from The White Company.
I'm soo happy only got 1K left, it should hopefully be below that by the end of the month, yay!!!
Today i've got to wait in for a parcel, then i'm going to my boyfriends. I think its going to be a night in toight, film, bottle of wine and a nice meal, not sure what i'm cooking yet. Tomorrow night we are going out for a meal with friends, my boyfriend will prob offer to pay, but i think i may pay this time, feel bad him keep paying.
So, hopefully, a cheap weekend ** she hopes**0 -
I am now upto £25 on dooyoo. If i can do make £25 a week like i have this week then thats £100 a month extra for Christmas gifts - yay!! I prob won't do so well next week though, it gets harder not easier.
I'm v happy with £25 this week though!!
I'm trying to do as much as i can now as i won't be about the rest of the weekend to up my points.0 -
A lil update
I spent very little at the weekend. OH and I went to visit our friends in Hastings, that was a 3 hr journey. They cooked us dinner so spent the night in with friends drinking and just catching up, was nice. So i spent around £5 on Saturday, that was on a magazine and a drink, but i did get a free mascara with the mag worth £11.
Sunday, we drove home, and we went out for a meal with another couple, my OH did pay in the end. I offered to pay but he insisted. Was a lovely meal. Thinking about it, Sunday was a NSD!! YAY!!!!
Upto £31 on dooyoo now. I aim to get upto £45 by the end of this week. Lets hope i can do it.0 -

I received my £5 Marks and Spencer voucher today for a quote i done on directline website. Will add that to my Crimbo stash.0 -
